Ha!ha!.You can look but you not touching.Yeah no problem. You can have a drive when we get to terahova in the truckpark. We’ll prob have plenty of time to kill.
the SOLO cab option is exclusive to our mainland european friends unfortunately!
Had a test drive in one on a demo day when the first demonstrators arrived, it was the 2.3m wide jobby but still very plush inside.
Oh and sod Truckulent the Troll, keep the pics coming and polish it as much as you like!
Cheers DV for getting back to me
Will have a nose at one when I’m near a Merc dealership

It’s called a difference of opinion. We have them all the time, in all walks of life.
Yes that is quite true, but, your first post on the subjuect was passive aggressive, as you well know and was intended to provoke the responses that you got

Sorry, if you feel that is the case- The defence of my opinion was the result of people’s personal attack on me…which as a moderator, you also well know…but haven’t posted about I see…
Is everyone that disagrees with the majority to be criticised?
I didn’t realise this was a ‘yes man’s’ forum.

Everyone is entitled to an opinion, even your original post, which was passive aggressive, is allowed and so it should be.
The nature of your post meant that some of the reponses would have derogatory remarks aimed at you, which is exactly what you want. You then adopt the high and mighty approach and condemn everyone who disagrees with you, in this case you mention working for peanuts, polishing lorries for nothing, buying accessories, sleeping in them for nothing blah, blah, blah.
You can call it what you like, but the simple fact is, you posted to get a reaction, that can be the lifeblood of a forum, but it can also be trolling.

Nope. you can’t have it both ways…
My view is as valid as anyone’s - any posts made on any thread which won’t gain a reaction of any sort are pretty pointless.
Everything I mentioned I have come across happening for real, out there in haulage. Just because some drivers are happy to do it and don’t like being criticised for it doesn’t stop my opinion being valid…
And, I do not resort to personal insults and abuse…and I never have on this forum. Unlike many on here , who cannot cope with any disagreement with their own view, without resorting to personal insults.
Clearly it is to some degree a ‘yes man’s’ forum.
I’ll be careful not to disagree with the ‘regulars’ in future.
Truckulent, as I said, you are entitled to your opinion, but bear in mind that the responses you get will be related to the manner in which you post
You can be controversial without getting people’s backs up

I think truckulent has a very good point, well more than one actually and he is allowed to post his point of view on here so why do the usual whingers try to put him down,I,ve had a number of new motors but they belong to the firm not me they are a work tool,I refuse to get excited or spend excessive time B,sing the bosses property, they get enough out of me without a free cleaning service, thank you, goodnight.Nice one…the only poster than hasn’t said ‘baa, baa, baa, baa, baa baaaaaaaaaaa.’
I’m very pleased for the guy, I’m sure his new Merc is fantastic - I merely asked what all the fuss was about…and why people feel the need to post about it!! I am not in the least bit jealous - I do not covet things that other people are using that actually belongs to someone else…How can anyone be jealous of someone else’s wagon - when in 99% of cases - it’s not theirs…
Especially as, if you are tramping in it, you are effectively minding it every night for nothing…
I’m sure lots of people are happy to get a new office chair/laptop/iphone at work - but I doubt they post pictures on internet forums of it and say ‘look at my new shiny office chair’…
I also doubt they spend unpaid time cleaning the chair but, each to their own…!
To those of you that think I’m nasty - well, I’m not but I would say that wouldn’t I? You may have already met and talked to me at an RDC or port…or other delivery…you never know fellas.

I hope the OP enjoys his new wagon as it happens…but I still don’t get it…and I think those of you that feel I’m not allowed to say so, jealous blah blah, need to get over the fact that not getting a stiffy on over new tractors doesn’t make your opinion any less valid. I tend to work agency/direct and I get a huge variety of trucks, including brand new ‘stiffy’ standard…perhaps I should post pics on here for the gratification of some of the membership…
Cheers fellas…
They probably don’t go on ‘office forums’ either - we don’t work in an office, there’s no comparison.
I’d rather be ‘minding that wagon’ than an old low roof daf cf for example.
Get over yourself and stop derailing other peoples topics and being a troll you sad git

No probs mate. They could of been better.Done on my phone though.
Looks decent inside, have they moved the gear selector from the armrest on the new model? Also, what’s that box looking thing stuck to the windscreen in the pic with the tiger on the dash?? Is it the sensor box for auto lights and wipers??
if its the same as the other one we have its a distance detector it suposedly wont let u get to close to the motor in front and will brake for you

Gear selector has been moved onto right hand stalk on steering wheel.Ignore the tiger. He was an optional extra. As is the distance detector,Mine has’nt got that option.has rain sensors though. So i suppose you cxan have the extras installed into there.
