New job time (again!)

Reef:
Do you have built in company phones? If so how come you didn’t ring up the office and say “would you mind terribly if i swing by my house to grab my phone?” that way your arse is covered if they say yes but you also know where you stand if they say no.

Also did I read somewhere that you are a day driver? If so why couldn’t you do without it for just that one shift? At the end of the day mate it was your ■■■■ up and it was your personal phone, explain to me then why it was the companies responsibility, duty and money to correct that ■■■■ up?

I personally think you are being a bit Naive here and if I’m honest quite childish too, nothing personal against you EB it’s just how this particular situation has come across to me.

Yes the guy in the office sounds like a right weaselly little prick, I’m not arguing that, but you put yourself into the position in the first place.

I would have gone without my phone for the day tbh, unless I was expecting a really really important call, I can’t see how you can justify going to get it.

Just remember that all the egging on and encouragement you get off everyone else here concerning the 45 hrs off, is from people who couldn’t really give a flying [zb] if you got sacked on Monday or not, they won’t be out of a job, they’ll just be entertained by Monday evenings update from you, think very carefully how you handle it is all I’m saying.

Oh dear oh dear oh dear. Did you not read the forum rules. Rule one - don’t make sensible posts. It spoils it for everyone else.

You see that company that he couldn’t hack working for? yeah the one with green wagons. When it was one big company I often went off route. Never a problem if I let them know i was nipping home. Mind you it was normally for a doctor or dentist appointment and my planner would get me work in the area.

Recently I phoned my transport manager because i needed to go for a scan at hospital in Glasgow. I suggested a way of working it so I’d only be a few hours off work and 25 miles off route (empty) and not needing to run the wagon back to the yard and take a day off. Not a hassle. Even worked it to get a 3 hour break so didn’t really loose that much working time.

What the semi aquatic rodent has not done is stuck at a job long enough to build up trust. Do the work and don’t take the ■■■■ and then if you genuinely need to nip home/finish early/start late etc etc it shouldn’t be a problem. It’s a two way street at the end of the day.

EagerB…Don’t let them wind you up bud,… us ‘‘brainless muppets’’ and ‘‘demi gods’’ will stick together.

Lol. The day I get wound up by complete strangers on an internet forum would be a sad day indeed mate

I really enjoy the ’ snake charming ’ Rob. Throw them some crumbs, and all the ‘yes’ men and frightened mortgage payers come out to play

All i included in the yes men and frightened mortgage payers? [emoji52]

Recovered from your ’ middle class merlot ’ you are so proud of ?

Hey Eager, what exactly are you trying to achieve for yourself going in late? You’re not really sticking it to the man, you’ll just get yourself further down the road to being booted and become yet another driver leaving a faceless entity on a mini self destruction protest. You’ve made your mind up you want a new job away from these Orwellian types, so why not go in normal time Monday and use your energies looking for one, quietly find one, and leave? I’d take Reefs advice.

Thought downtons was going a bit too smoothly for you eagerbeaver…
My feelings on the firm are no secret and once again they have shown there true colours…
When I was there drivers were running off route all the time to park up to go on the beer with there mates and it was swept under the carpet amongst other things that were swept under the carpet.
They think they are this “premier” haulier that sets the standard, well it’s the worst firm Iv worked for and the worst people Iv worked with driver and office staff apart from one manager.

Eager beaver claims to have a backbone but his missus obviously has his ■■■■■■■■ in her handbag handbag if he can’t venture out for a day without a mobile in case someone gets a poorly tummy, what a saddo.

Backbone yes.

Nous no

Intelligence no

Ability to work the system no.

Like Yorkshire Terrier said. Most firms will sweep stuff under the carpet if you’re a good bloke. I reckon EB is just a high maintenance driver that isn’t worth the bother.

and if we went the route of someone having a quiet word in between trailers like some suggest, op would have still been on here just a different story thats all … but the basics would still be the same, done nothing wrong, ■■■■■■■■■■ planner ect ect…

Yes but it wouldn’t have made 5 pages, as those of us on the company’s back, would have told him to man up as they’d done the right thing, saying that a ■■■■■■■■■■ planner would’ve gone to higher management

eagerbeaver:
The beauty of this forum is that all the nobody’s of this world pipe up.

Maybe one day they will be a somebody just like you EGO Beaver :unamused:

Man up, take some responsibility for your own actions and stop crying like a little ■■■■■ because you got caught out and out-smarted by a “■■■■■■■■■■■ office weasel”

How will Downton’s ever survive without you?

FLATBED TED:

+1

It is quite obvious why the guy grassed you up, you are a complete knob with attitude … I honestly find it hard to understand how the likes of you actually believe that you are right in everything you do, and it is others who are wrong … I don’t see many narcissistic drives but you certainly fit the bill …

This whole thread is all about eagerbellend playing to his boyfriends in the gallery.

LOOK AT ME ! I DO WHAT I WANT !

What a 24 carat clopper !

No doubt the fly catching simpleton will be on the agency soon enough, slags them off and those that work for them, yet always ends up back with them.A monumental ■■■■ of a man and no mistake. Thumbs up

Us old timers don’t take kindly too being told too get a back bone from some young kid who’s only been driving for 2 mins :unamused:

Me neither :open_mouth:

Nor me, but why ffs?.. all he did was stand up to some little twunt in an office when he thought he was being treat unfaiy and/or disproportionately
I hate witch hunts both on here and in real life, :smiling_imp: always have, always will and always stuck up for the ‘victim’

Maybe it’s a bit of self realisation in some cases, it has suddenly dawned on them that they would not have the balls to do the same, and are angry with themselves rather than EagerB, so having a pop at him makes them feel better about themselves.

Rob the psychologist
Btw I would do the same, so feel free to have a go at me…cos I just lurrrrvve it. :sunglasses:

i personally think its the ones that are egging him on and telling him, even begging him that are the ones with no balls, there entertainment is getting someone else to do their bit for them… sad really,
some just love their little support groups…

others stand up for themselves everyday but dont feel the need to come on here everyday to have their egos massaged.
