To be fair chaps, I did point out (if you look) and accept, that going off route in general is frowned upon, when I replied to one of your posts (as very kindly pointed out by Mr S btw 
) that was not the arguable point.

One question I would ask you to answer is why should the planner cover up and put his own job on the line for a driver who obviously thinks he can do exactly as he likes.

I can tell you now if I found one of my planners covering for a driver who had done this then I would not hesitate in both going down the road.
