My truck is faster than yours so there!

yep, let the guy in so he can slow you down to 30mph on the hill…way to go guys!

If you don’t know what your truck’s capable of…FIND OUT BEFORE YOU GET IN ANY OTHER KUNTS WAY!!.. ITS AS EASY AS THAT!
Do you lot actually drive trucks on a daily basis■■? :unamused: :unamused: :unamused:

[zb] keyboard warrior! Bet you wouldn’t say boo to a goose if you were face to face…eh?? Pancake flipper!
If they’re quicker than me…let them carry on, they’re not the only one’s trying to get somewhere!

:open_mouth: :open_mouth: For a driver with a supposed 20yrs under your belt, your attitude towards other drivers is appalling :unamused:

Thats just the way it is fella…I just do my own thing these days, too many thankless idiots driving trucks now, I just leave them to get on with it.
Coming down the A9 yeaterday & nearing the end of a dual carriageway (clearly signposted) a clown in an A&R Burnett, Doune, PULLS OUT to pass about 300 yards from the single carriageway, then thinks twice, then brakes hard to get back in behind me. I’v no time for these fannies & don’t give a toss who aint happy about it on here!
I see this most days from guys that couldn’t drive a nail into a loaf of bread, let alone a truck!

If your heavy and you go up a hill then lose you’re momentum then fair enough you shouldn’t be out there in the first place, but ■■■■■ like you,and believe me you are a ■■■■,and balls,to keep it flat to the floor on a D/C whilst someone who’s quicker than you wants to get past when your on the flat then lay off the limiter bell end.

Priceless!!! Carry on bell end,you are the face of the knuckle dragging reprobate I meet day in day out!! If your insults consist of that then you really need to look in the mirror,■■■■■■■ my granny could do better!! And she ain’t alive!!

Agree about the idiots, but I reckon a driver with a “■■■■ everybody else as long as I’m ok” type of attitude as displayed by you, is equally, if not more, of a danger to other road users, at least you know what the idiots are capable of.

What have I spelled wrong exactly?.. I know I’ve got the word “at” right

No offence to you young man I simply stated that being a knuckle dragger thick as pig ■■■■ northern monkey he can spell with his limited intelligence…no offence to you fella

So…what is the correct procedure then on any road, be it an uphill stretch of m/way, (lets say M40sb Cherwell Cutting) or DC, when 1 one truck is slower (54mph) but empty/running light (that’ll be me) and a loaded Merc Axor DD (parcel carrier company) trying and failing to pass successfully…do I a; slowly decrease my speed, mindful of those artics that are behind me and the DD (if any) and gradually slow to 40mph, allowing him to slot in (which could take us nearly to j10) and ■■■■ the progress of those in lane 1 or b; keep it lit and continue my progress for 10 seconds until he slots back in behind, providing there is a big enough gap for him to do so safely? For me, it depends on the situation. If nothing is behind me but he has a train of Irish heading for a ferry, I’ll ease off and let him pass…if there is a queue behind me, I’ll gradually match his speed, others will start catching me and pull out and then I’ll slow and let the DD in…if neither off us have anything behind then sorry pal, I ain’t stopping. I’m sure a lot of these DDs only pull out to avoid coming of the limiter! Some might agree, most probably won’t.

Edit: what would be, given the speed limit of 50 on a DC, the maximum speed you could do, allowing for speedo accuracy and +5%? I sit at 90k (speedo) which is an actual 54mph (gps) and have never had a tug, and neither have those that have passed me, and there’s plenty of Roads Police around the Oxford area at night, on the way back to Abingdon or Bicester…lucky me I guess

It’s wasted on these morons

Totally agree with you no one has said it’s against the law to go over 50 on a duel track. All they thing about is my truck can go faster than yours and women are idiots it must be a man thing I got a big truck so I can have a big head well the next time my wife tells me that in AandE department that a mad truck driver has been admitted  where she’s a nurse dealing with Rtc I shall just laugh

Sexist pig women drive LORRIES as well and it is a dual Carriageway

You’ve answered your own question mate, but I dont reckon that behaving like a serial ■■■■ on the road, whatever the situation, as a certain person all but admits to, is the way forward.

A truck makes his attempt to pass me and at this point my truck is starting to get up the hill sticking to 52mph (Limiter) the truck gets level with me still having some distance to get past. I start pulling away so i knock it back 2 mph to 50mph. he is still finding it hard and i am still pulling away and if i keep going slower i will end up causing problems for others who are behind me. little bit further on he gets his trailer wheels level with my cab. He starts with the indicators still going slightly faster then me and then starts to pull in on me missing the front of my truck by inches. I wasn’t happy about it and if he was doing it to prove a point he is playing a stupid game.

This is one of the reasons I keep it motoring, these clowns get in front on a hill & keep slowing down as they climb.

If they don’t know their trucks capabilities they should stay out of other peoples way! :imp:

LIKE

Well interesting read, I will not slow down if somebody is struggling to pass me, that is there problem, neither will I pull in to the middle lane to let somebody on the the M/way that is also there problem.

So Robroy, assuming that ‘I’m the ■■■■’, how do/would you deal with the ‘situation/scenario’?

Yeh well, if and when I ever meet you on the road mate, and if the situations are both safe and appropriate at the time, I will give way to you,… so I reckon that says something about you AND me eh?

Actually mate it wasn’t you I was referring to.

Ah but then I will not be one of those idiots who I have often pulled into the middle lane for and then been stuck there because they will then not give way and let me back in. And yes it means I have learnt my lesson and will not make the same mistake again.

Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned

I hate it when i hold doors open for folk and they never say a polite thank you back. Doesn’t mean i now don’t bother holding doors open anymore.

End of the day the country is a mass with ■■■■■■■■■ drivers. Joining them isn’t the answer.

Who said I was a woman

How come I never have the problems you lot refer to?

I usually sit at 3 kph below the limiter (takes a bit of getting used to), if someone uses momentum down the hill and starts to run out of steam alongside me I’ll either knock it back a few clicks if i’m empty or leave him till the hill levels out then knock it back, I know what he’s doing, he knows what he’s doing (usually). If I have a chancer that just wants to play cat & mouse, up 3 clicks and goodbye. If I’m heavy I’ll plan way ahead, so I can pass easily using the hills & I-Roll and stay ahead or I’ll let him go ( :bulb: my cc has more than one setting).

q. why is it when you pass someone they’re so keen for you to get into lane one, I’ve had peeps who I can only describe as annoyed, judging by the way they flash, when you won’t scrape the flies off their windscreen?
