Nice one, SOFA KING cool!!
Nice one Harry, but I doubt it would even prick the skin of these hard nosed ( for want of a more descriptive word ), I shall call them Bureaucrat’s.
Have a good Christmas & New Year.
dri-diddly-iver:
Let me get this straight then. You have parked illegal and been issued with a ticket for doing so. You appealed and lost! So then go on to whinge even further but still pay up £35 because you are actually guilty of illegal parking

Then…because people on here like you they all agree with you and everyone else is a ■■■■■■
Couldn’t make it up really
Liking him isnt an issue here. Hell I don’t even know him! But I can(and should be allowed) to sympathise with anyone in this position.Done @0230 in the name of congestion? You justify it then.
I suppose the underlying point is that Thurrock is an area which is more heavily reliant on trucks than most, but which makes absolutely no provision whatsoever for those trucks to park when they need to do so… I’m sure most truck drivers would recognise this as a fair description of Thurrock.
Of course, even on a truck drivers’ forum there will always be one truck driver who is fully supportive of this idea.

Rules of the road and you broke it. Lets move on
humbug:
i enjoyed that until the ‘i hope you are made redundant’ bit.
nope cant see the problem with that at all.
Thurrock Truckstop is local H! It’s not the best but its cheaper than the parking ticket!

There is a valid point there. As you say between purfleet dock lakeside various other stuff and tilbury down the road you got a hell of a lot of trucks in the area and other than thurrock services not a lot of parking.
I’m with Harry on this one. Dri diddley iver, are you perfect? Never break a rule? Ever been to Thurrock or tried parking up down there?
Mickey blue, wasn’t even good enough to be a hobby Bobby, not sure if you’ve done a night out yet. Big Vern, the day you get a ticket for illegal parking in your van, especially if you are having a night out in your little non sleeper pod van, I will laugh my socks off.
Ha ha…That’s sooo old news!
I take a different view on who should provide parking for trucks.
I have always believed that the companies that have trucks delivering to them or collecting from them should provide the parking, it is a legitimate business expense and the could get much of the cost back from the taxman! Why should the local council tax payers have to pay for truck parking?
Tilbury docks should also provide parking trucks that have a real need for overnight parking when on business there.
.
I can’t believe some of you on here … There’s too many drivers on this job and indeed on this site who are only too willing to take any injustice dished out to them (of which in this over regulated industry there are too many
) and readily bend over and take it right up their arses, not only that, but even worse, knock someone who has the balls to try and put up a bit of resistance or display of annoyance. Of course parking facilities should be provided, in areas of high truck reliance, you should not have to park miles away, or worse in some craphole lay by just because of authorities who dont want " nasty big juggernauts" spoiling their idyllic environment
So nice one Harry! the job needs a lot more of us who are ■■■■■■ off enough with it to show it, the rest of you carry on bending over and brace yourselves
Harry I can understand your ■■■■■■ off with getting the fine I work on the Thurrock parkway estate it used to be a free for all around up until around 8 months ago you could park anywhere along that road once you go over the roundabout that takes you into asda but then Thurrock council decided to make it a clearway on the whole road from the big roundabout right round to the front of the allport building did you not see the clearway signs attached to the lamp posts

Hobby bobby? what is one of those Saggysack?
I was a Police Community Support Officer for 5 1/2 years and a Police Constable for the other half of it = 6 Years. In those 6 years i had received the Golden Jubilee for my services.
If you also look below i am a Multi drop driver and just “started” driving so having a “night out” is early days for me
You carry on arse licking Saggysack, i will fetch the tissue. With me i say it how it is and i replied to Harry’s post like he would reply to one of my post’s with his opinion and views on the matter. Sorry if i upset the “Fan” club.
I also know how it feels to get a parking ticket as i got one the other day which i am contesting. I did have a winge and a moan at the gent who gave me the ticket, but i also know i was in the wrong but i didn’t say “Hope you lose your job at the end of the year” because like me he has a job to do.

I am not in a position to care about the problems with parking in thurrock but the repeated “behold, a Multi Drop Driver” routine is just funny
I am new to the game. What’s the new saying?
I have trouble understanding why some would just see it as black & white and they would probably roll over and pay it.
I got a parking fine on Monday last week…On my motorcycle.
Just how you are supposed to stick a pay & display ticket to a wet motorcycle, I have no idea.
They put the adhesive envelope on my throttle, which stuck open the throttle!
I did not park in a bay, as I could not pay and display, as it would have either been removed or stolen if I could of got it to stick to the bike in the first place.
I suppose I am totally in the wrong though.
I always thought parking for bikes was free. Now that is a pure example of gaining a few quid

That’s why they now ask for your registration on the machine, won’t stop you getting a parking ticket, but you can fight it.

It used to be, you couldn’t issue a ticket to a motorbike because it requested rear number plate, front number plate, tax disc serial number. But they’ve changed it.
I got over 300 quid in parking fines in the 1st month of it changing on my motorbike outside my own bloody house
