Mr Vain...

Best wishes to you rob,

i know that bit of road very well, i actually drove through there today and lets just say that i had a very very near miss toady in that very spot on the top of the hill heading towards the M42. Lets just say there are some very selfish people on the roads in cars and in trucks who will do anything just to get past u weather that means indangering themselves and others!

My thoughts are with you, and lets hope your back on the road as soon as.

best wishes

Well my first day back on the road was a bit of a shaky start. A really bad nights sleep dint help. But the worst bit of all? I got really annoyed. Annoyed with a guy that lost his life. Annoyed cos he’s turned my world upside down. I was innocently going about my business and he decided to … well i don’t know what he decided. Now i’m ashamed of myself. Wish i knew what to think.

Best wishes to you Rob (and the driver of the white lorry heading the other way), keep yer chin up bud.

Condolonces to the family of the driver of the Seat Leon.

As said on fb:

oi mr b less of that, you’ve got a heart of gold, but your heart of gold is currently tainted with shock and sadness of an event you could not have stopped, you were an innocent victim. I hope I am never in the situation you are in as I can tell it is a total head ■■■■ and I don’t think I’d be strong enough to deal with that. You are strong my man, and you will pull through, it’ll take time and patience and talking about[to the right people] but I know things will get better for you big man, I know they will. Look its the weekend try not to think about what has been, I know that is easier said than done, but try to chill out spend time with your loved ones, and remember thanks to you, I’ve been able to compile the longest piece of written text since my English GCSE test 7 years ago [that being this post] chin up mate, and remember you’ve got a ■■■■■■■ huge network of support around you, that are there because you are you and they want to be there for you because you are a nice guy.

Thanks mate, had no idea such info was available.

I’ve decided to keep this an on going post at least until after the inquest. I’ll be as frank and honest as i can. One day, these ramblings may be of use to someone. (well as long as you guys are ok with it)

YES fine BUT ONLY if it helps YOU Rob.

i know of some one who has been driving for 40 years and something like this happened to him when some one ran from behind a bus into his path and it took time for him to get over it. it will take time Mr vain just keep that head up and keep on trucking and provide for your family.

Well Rog, i think it helps that i can vent off my thoughts quite freely. As long as this post remains troll free i don’t see it being a problem.

Sorry to hear about this, its everyones worst nightmare and something i don’t think any of us really think about even though it happens a lot, but its something we kinda brush off until it effects someone we know or happens to ourselves.

I’m glad you have family and good friends on here to help you get through this hard time, things can only get easier, you will be suffering from mixed up emotions over this, its just natural will get easier in time.

You know the old saying “dont get angry(annoyed)get even” well back on an even keel is what you want. It’ll be a long road, getting back in the saddle today good move, spouting of on here good move.
We’re all behind you mate
ps read the PM mate

Just seen this as I forgot the lappy this week, I have had the missfortune to be the innocent party in a fatal accident, and understand, and have gone through all the emotions you are feeling at the moment Rob.
Glad to hear your back in the saddle, it was forced on me by well wishers, and was probably to soon for comfort, but it did stop me not doing it.
My turning point was the inquest, when it was proved by a court that nothing I had done was a contributory factor in the outcome, and the relief I felt that no blame for the accident was on my shoulders, was the point at which I started to get over it and stop mulling in my mind if only.
You look after yourself mate.
Condolances to the family of the deceased.
