Rob, my thoughts are with you, your family and everyone else involved

Just thinking of you, could be any, or all of us.

Chin up bud, you are not on your own

Hi Rob.

I was involved in a similar incident over 15 years ago and felt very like you do now. Over time it does fade and get easier but it never totally leaves you. Thoughts are with you and your family at this time. All the best.

no one can imagine what you’re going through but i think the best cure is not to lock it away but to talk it over with those you trust most, your family.
I hope you make a speedy return to the saddle mate.

Bad bit of road that, hope you recover well soon and are back in the seat.

Best Wishes.

MR VAIN:
And finally, to his family, I’m truly sorry for yr loss. If i could of prevented such a thing, trust me i would.

MrV x

how many times we all do it,avoiding the mighty tin box that comes from 3 cars behind you and cuts you up,just before slaming into some poor sod coming the other way,

we dont know the in’s and out’s,but you have enough fans out there, if a rebuild is needed,

all the best rob, karl

Thought I’d stick this up just to save the need for further explanation.

Hope you get your motor back and sorted soon Fella. Remember to think about yourself though and don’t feel ashamed or afraid to seek appropriate help, be that talking things through with your mates or professional counseling. Don’t feel bad for shedding a tear, it doesn’t make you any less of a man but more of a good human being.

i have alredi posted on heere but here i go again

best wishes hope ur ok rob

and is it bad damage to mr vain

if u dnt mind me askin wht actually happened

MR VAIN:
To each and everyone of you. My friends. I’m deeply moved by yr best wishes. The accident was at approx 5pm on the A446 between Bassets pole and the Belfrey golf club. A 5 vehicle collision that resulted in 1 fatality. There were, as far as i’m aware no other serious injuries. They have impounded Mr Vain and taken my phone away from me as a matter of procedure. I was helping the police with their enquiries until late last night and thru Bartrums and a close friend i finally made it home at 5.30 this morning.

If i’m honest, i’m not coping too well. This is not an experience i wish to repeat. I’m quite tearful and have one unanswered question in my mind. Why ? It was, with out any doubt, the most selfish act i’ve ever seen and he has paid the ultimate price. It wouldn’t be fair for me to go into anymore detail at this time. Maybe one day.

And finally, to his family, I’m truly sorry for yr loss. If i could of prevented such a thing, trust me i would.

i konw the bit of road where it happened very well. they should do away with that crawler lane there and make it no overtaking for the sake of 2 to 3 hundred yards. there are some silly overtaking manouvres up there. i must have been no more then 5 mins infront of you following a tractor up there and cars where whipping past trying to squeeze into gaps that wern’t there.

best of wishes go out to you and others involved at this time.

Mr B:

I may be wrong and if it is i’ll happily delete this comment but isnt the PDF there to help drivers if they request it in these sort of situations :frowning: :frowning: amoungst others things   or have i just got the wrong end of the stick as to what they do/ can provide for/to drivers

My thoughts and prayers are with all involved. Mr Vain/Bob again best wishs to you and yours. There go I But for the grace of God. Could be anyone one of us today or tomorrow

yep true dont wish to push him for details the reason i asked that was i had a guy commit suicide right at the side of me on the m606 at bradford an experiance i will never forget and never wish to repeat .the mistake i made was not accepting the counciling from the police as this caused me to come off the road for over a year i kept my feelings bottled up the worst thing i could of done once i started talking and ran through the whole experiance with my family it made it a whole lot easier to deal with and got back on road within a month .youve just gotta keep looking foward and keep talking. best wishes rob youll come through this mate

Hope you are ok Rob if you want to talk pm me anytime

Really sorry to here about this Rob, and I hope you are OK and you get the truck sorted asap.

Condolences to the family of the guy who died

Must be the worst thing to happen to any of us when we are out on the road.
My thoughts are with you rob.
