I like’em with a trailer on, personally.
It’s doing what it was born to do

A 750 hp truck too pull a tesco urban tri , what a zb waste![]()
The Tesco work is probably a decent payer for Bull, better to ‘waste’ the 750 pulling an urban trailer for a good rate than pull a heavy load of Baked Beans into an RDC for peanuts… I’m sure the 750 will have it’s uses for the company & likely pay for itself.

Good points. It will do a variety of our work, I’ll normally top and tail the week with Tesco shifts and tramp in the middle of the week, usually up to Scotland and back. The fact is almost no one buys a 750 because they need the power, they buy it for the attention. And they are unsurpassed at getting attention!

750 Neddies will never get to do any work pulling a Tosco trailer, will it ever get to a proper working temp in the complex engine and exhaust to do it justice ?
Be interesting to see the mpg figures too ? And what does the unit weigh any ideas ?BUT I would still have one in a flash were I still driving. Classy bit of kit.
It’ll do plenty of full weight work, it’s not exclusively a Tesco unit
White with grey/black writing or graphics is actually quite sharp, gives off a crisp and understated lmage IMO. Got several of them on my new job but a few crane drivers have received a P45 in the last few days so I’ve been taken off driving and put back on mobile cranes again for a while so haven’t had a chance to drive one myself but I’d imagine they are a nice vehicle to have on a daily basis.
Whats the deal with the air ride on the front end? Never seen a truck with front air.

It’s been common on low ride truck for many years, it helps when getting on and off ferries or other places where ground clearance is an issue.

Also makes for an incredibly smooth and comfortable ride
K7 ROF the F16 that’s on the show circuit now has air on the front axle. I drove this from new, it’s been available a long time if your boss specs them right

Steel. Air is a cost option. As standard the 750 comes with heavy duty steel suspension, that engine is a heavy beast

True, plus I should imagine it’s aimed more toward the heavy haulage end of the market.
First day of work today then. Avonmouth to Tiverton and Bideford so a tidy little run to ease her into a working life! ONWARD

You’ll find most heavy haulage firms use MAN, Mercedes and DAF. Big badge Volvos (and Scanias) are more commonly used for willy waving.
No offence to your good self Mr Switchlogic

What exactly is it that makes it 'grab attention", other than the ‘750’ badge on the door? Or is it that? And how is a 750 better than a 500-600 truck in the uk? Dragging stuff up and down the alps and pyrenees I can understand, and running at 60 tons in Scandinavia, sure. But up and down the M6 to Scotland? With 26tons of baked beans?

It was specced with a view to doing some euro work at some point.
I think that’s the ultimate plan for it tnd.

I should have been clearer, I meant that for UK only work.I know Bull plan to use it on the continent.
I will take a punt that the donkey wants one■■?.The 750 will save time even in the uk for not slowing down going up hills and driven right will still do 9mpg.Now it does look a smart bit of kit and its got none of the tat stuck to it.

Why would I want one? I don’t go anywhere near the Alps, and my pens is large enough.
