Mobile phones?

Coffeeholic:
I got A Desire HD about 3 weeks ago and I find it a great device. It does have navigation on it and some of it is Tom Tom but I don’t really use it so not sure. I did have a look in the settings and I seem to remember there was an option to choose the vehicle type and truck was one of them.

Is that an HTC?

Does the desire have Market leading iPod software? Nope!
Access to iTunes? Nope?
Free viewing of sky tv over 3G?
Tomtom navigation software?
HGV truck navigation software?
The list goes on…
Plus the desire is not faster than an iPhone.

Thats not much of a list. But anyway for all you have mentioned there is an equivalent for Android phones, although as far as i know there is no HGV truck navigation available for it yet.
I have the Desire S and i’m extremley impressed. I havn’t owned an Iphone but i have used them. I like the whole integration with Google and its apps/docs/maps on the HTC.
Market leading iPod software would only be good for something tied to Apple products i would imagine. The Android will communicate with any USB/wireless media player, (or most, maybe not the Ipod!!) There’s also an app available to migrate your itunes library over to your android fone if you like too !!!

Just gonna watch this video!!

This video is an iPhone 3GS, would expect that to be slower as it’s older tech.

It is mate.
If I didn’t use an iPhone I would be using a HTC. With Android though and not windows!!

Anyway to echo what some have said you’d be mad to get an iPhone right now, wait to see what the new one holds in store first. That’s what I’m doing. Because as that other gentleman repeatedly (and then called me lacking in knowledge when he can’t read a basic post) missed in my posts the iPhone is a great device they just need to sort the phone end out.

The new iOS 5 will be available for iPhone 4 anyway.
New iPhone will be crazy money at release.

I would have to agree with swotchlogic on this one, anyone that asks me what I think of my I phone4 gets the same answer, it’s brilliant except for making and receiving calls. A few drivers I know have bought pay as you go sim cards for their I phone and reverted back to an old handset for calls, but sure I’m probably wrong.

I was offered an I-Phone from Orange but for what I was paying (£45 per month) I would have lost my unlimited Orange-Orange calls. Orange explained to me that Apple were dictating tariffs hence the reason I went for a HTC Desire. I did have a HTC Touch HD before that so no complaints.

That’s the only problem with Apple. They want to control everything.

So all the faults are people’s imagination then!

by the way i know nothing about mobiles , i’m using my son’s old nokia e71 and he keeps trying to get it back . :imp:

You just put a case on the phone if your having signal problems and that solves it.
If it continues then it’s the network that’s the problem

I’m using the iPhone4 now! It’s a 32gb model! And haven’t had any trouble with it! I have a hard back cover on it though and dropped it many times off the bunk and it’s still in great condition after 6 months! I love the IOS and so does my 6 year old daughter it’s that easy to use! And it looks lovely too! I will trade it in for the iphone5 in the future!

It’s because the antenna is on the outside mate. If you hold the phone and cover the bottom left corner signal reduces.
With a case on though it’s not affected.
