Mobile phones?

Vodafone tell me that my current mobile is due to be upgraded in a few weeks if I do it online
Anyway, I was thinking of going for a HTC, an iPhone or maybe a newer version of the Blackberry Ive already got, but which one of the above is the better one for things like Google maps, satnav etc?

Go for HTC HD, brill phone, comes with all the bells and whistles (Internet, email, maps, etc)

If you’re happy with what you got ask them to reduce the monthly charge, worked for me.

I’ve just had an LG Optimus One from Orange. The sat nav and orange maps are excellent.

HTC is good, but it’s not an iPhone!!
IPhone is still way ahead of any other handsets. Defo overpriced though.

HTC for me as well, though it’s the HD2 which has a bigger screen, memory etc. Try & get the unlimited data add-on, if they still do it, because Google Maps can eat into allowances.

The bloke in the Vodafone shop said he hasnt seen my version of Blackberry for the last 18 monthes :open_mouth:

Ive heard lots of good things about the HTC :sunglasses:

BTW - I have a personal dislike of anything Apple so wouldn’t dream of having an i-phone

try www.gsmarena.com/

They reckon the new galaxy s 11 is the dogs ■■■■■■■■ !!!

ive just got the galaxy s2 and its bang on the money! and the battery outlasts any iphone and htc(official figures
)
Samsung Galaxy S II Battery - Talktime 700 mins, Standby 400 hours

HTC DESIRE HD:Battery - Talktime 300 mins, Standby 290 hours

iPhone 4 16GB Battery - Talktime 420 mins, Standby 300 hours

if you are seriously considering an iphone, you might want to hold on for a little while, a new iphone is due out in the near future. a friend who works in a apple shop said an updated version of the iphone 4, something like they did with the iphone 3 and 3gs, is due out next month and iphone 5 is due in october/november

Lol these figures are never accurate and don’t reflect the way people actually use there phones.

I have an HTC 7 Trophy, and very happy with it. Never liked the iphone!

Maps are ok, email and web are good.

WRONG!! There is no way apple will release two new handsets before the end of the year.
One new model is expected but the iPhone 4 can be updated to the same software the new handset will have anyway. The new phone will be stupid money at release.

Not a huge fan of apple myself but got an iPhone because it’s the best handset available, no matter how many useless facts before throw at you about other phones!!

The HTC 7 is on the “Windows Phone 7” (The new Windows Mobile) OS.

I have an HTC HD2 and I’m very pleased with it.

can only go by what i am told, and rumour has it, that apple will be bringing 2 new phones out a year because of how well android phones are doing and apple fear they are losing out on sales and people not wanting a phone thats comong to the end of its shelf life after a year. so maybe there is some truth in apple realeasing an iphone 4s and then an iphone 5 towards the end of the year.
