Ahh., the majority of them are young men not women and kids though, if you had witnessed them trying to board trucks first hand you would know that, so donât use the lame women and kids line,
The British army should be sent to bolster our borders in France at the train and ferry ports , they could then search every truck /van as well as help secure the tunnel , they should also have cctv or spotters at Folkstone so any illegals on roofs of trailers can be reported to security and the truck stopped before it gets onto the motorway and the illegals found deported to outside the train terminal or handed to the French police,
If we took the stance of returning all of them to France or other last known country , do you not think that those countries would start to secure their borders too ?
Itâs not rocket science that it we who are their chosen target can start this chain of events , We should also pull our navy from this rescue mission, in the med, or start returning them to the shores they departed from , if not known then make an educated guess
To be honest yes I have been there first hand.
Was in Calais for 4 weeks in December in between jobs and doing someone a favour moving beverages.
If you been in the ports and been stopped you would relise the man power and logistics involved in searching every truck and I think that would make the stack worse.
Also the extra border forces needed for this.

the job of ukba searching vehicles , as well as offering security at the port and train terminal backing the police up If that makes the que longer so be it, but if you had lots of search teams working around the clock that wouldnât add too much of a delay, thereâs lots that could be done at the port and train terminal to cut waiting times , the eurotunnel is a joke when thereâs no problem with illegals one uk customs booth open at busy times slowing everything down

This is my take on the situation for what itâs worth; our Govt have three main responsibilities which are (1) protect the population, (2) protect the currency, (3) protect the borders. Now itâs obvious that they are failing in at least one of these and how shown that there is little (if any) political will to make the hard decisions.
So (as has been mentioned previously), why donât the Govt turn this to a financial advantage? They could grant them all asylum and easily create jobs for them all, those with no skill set could be sent out picking litter and generally renovating the country, those with a skill set such as builders be set on building affordable housing on brown field sites etc etc.
The upside being increased tax revenues from these new workers which will offset any increased burden on the social services. The Govt could also tweak the rules so that things like child allowance is only paid if the child is resident in the UK. I appreciate that many will say about them driving wages down but IMO that horse has already bolted after we opened the doors to EE labour, so what is the difference here?
We need to turn this to a financial benefit to the UK in much the same way that Germany when it realised it couldnât defeat prostitution decided to regulate and legalise it, the nett result being they earn vast tax revenues from it
I may have a simplistic view here, but the fact remains that the present system isnât fit for purpose so something radical needs doing pronto.
Itâs like all you here is we need take the Australian policy blah blah blah.

The eastern euros are getting a free ticket and jumping the que.
They arenât in war torn countries that we have flattened and caused the problems.
We already have naval ships in the med with the marines.
What else can we do in the med?
I donât want the little spongers here either but I really canât see an other option.
Let them in put them in prefabs or caravan type accommodation and let them work paying taxes and contribute and aventually become citizens.

This is the same in every country this is why they come here a real eye opener. Itâs these countries who are wronging these people on every level and claim to help them and produce trumped up figures that people believe. But the UK canât keep doing rite by these people they have to go back âŚ
The only way to stop them is to remove the reasons they want to come in the first place. Trying to âfence them outâ etc. isnât practical, itâs simply treating the symptoms ineffectively.
The cause is a much too easy time of it once they are here, compared to their own country. Remove that easy time, and they wonât be half so keen to arrive on our shores.
Weâve been a soft option for far too long here. I suggest that those that wish all the migrants to come should do the honourable thing and swap places with them. That way, the migrants get to come and the country gets no more folk in it!

It is of no use what so ever driving through the heart beat shed without them even using the heart beat monitor which is what they the french security knob jockeys are doing most of the time,( not doing the job they are getting paid to do ) So pointless the shed being there for the heart beat scan. as i havenât pulled curtain sided trailers for a while i canât say re the x ray scanner, The only thing done at calais is the cursory check with the sniffer dog whilst in the lanes if you have a hard sided vehicle
At the euro tunnel even less gets checked the French only use an x ray scanner, that ukba say is not as effective as their equipment , and it is rare to be checked by the French yet you think this is enough â â ? of course as you pointed out there will be some loads where itâs not possible to check visually , in these cases the vehicles would be directed to the x-ray scanner if they didnât have a dog with them ( yes dog inside trailer)
