Unless they have removed the minibus involved from their website, the only one that looks like the minibus involved in the incident is a 16 seater, the next one up is a coach for 35 bums.

Yes very good story. How often do you see things like that?I’m struggling to fully understand the intonation of your reply there Albion. If we were having a face to face discussion about this I’d be able to read the various nuances of your speech and body language and interpret your meaning. However, over the ether it only comes out in two possible ways, either you agree with my post and agree that as such none of us are in a position to apportion blame until all the facts are available, or (as I suspect) you have already made your mind up as to the guilt of the lorry driver and your “yes very good story” was the internet equivalent of patting a child on the head and telling him to run along. If I have misread your intentions then please accept my profound apologies.
I thought you might.Of course I accept unusual things happen and I have seen plenty over the years.I am just bemused at the thought of a car coming at 90 degrees off the hard shoulder straight into lane 2.
Must admit never seen any as bizarre as that.
Got to say that most things like that are very rare and most accidents are pretty clear cut.

Fair enough you carry on but 38T takes about the same time to stop no matter which trailer it is on.Yes some loads are affected by braking but in general the average load when secure will react the same.Road surfaces obviously make a big difference to stopping distances.
I just hope you have good judgement…Safe driving.have you ever had anything to do with adjusting brakes? and how it can affect braking
how about a half full tanker
anything other than straight, would brake as hard with a high center of gravity load as you would with a low center of gravity one?
i hope your formula is right… safe driving
albion1971:
I take it when you were with the driving examiners you had no load on? driving examiners can have absolutely no experience of driving heavy vehicles so maybe they are not the best to judge! You still drive the same as when you passed your test I take it.

i defo had at least 2 driving assessments by people who had driven with stuff in the back.

Driven petrol tankers for 12 years in London (artics) and aircraft refuellers ( A frame drawbar) I could go on but I won’t…
Thank the ■■■■■■■ Lord for that! Can you please apply some of that to all your other posts too or at least change the ■■■■■■■ record from blaming truck drivers for everything in every single one of your posts? That’s all you’ve done since you joined in September 2010 - complain about “the very poor standards from truck drivers we see everyday”, “professional LGV driving standards” and calling anyone and everyone an idiot if they don’t leave a 20 mile gap between themselves and the vehicle in front .
Just PLEASE give it a rest
. We KNOW that we are not PERFECT like you Mr. Albion and we will NEVER reach your level of unfaltering superiority but PLEASE, just quit with the 20 posts a day from up on your high horse telling us all what naughty little truckers we are.

It doesn’t matter what angle the thing is the important bit is at what speed and how close to anything that’s approaching from behind.
I don’t blame truck drivers for everything and I do not call everyone of them an idiot although you have to admit there are a few on here.
Can I ask what you think of the standard of truck drivers today?
I am not on any high horse by the way.I just detest bad driving and bad attitudes towards it.
Forums are for discussion and stating what you think.Sorry if you do not like what I think but we are all entitled to our own opinions.
I will cut it down to 19 a day just for you…

Understatement of the month contender…
If the minibus did indeed have more bums than seats, someone is going to be in a lot of trouble very soon, and not just the driver…
It will be interesting to see if the truck driver is given plenty of publicity stating his innocence, should he turn out to be blameless for this incident. (and I very much hope he does turn out to be blameless.)

What you’re describing albion is nothing new it’s alway been a case that some drivers have a totally different perception, concerning the issue of seperation distances,to others and that applies regardless of the type of vehicle that they’re driving.

First time I’ve posted on here, but just curious what makes it
obvious to you that the minibus had more bums than seats? As someone mentioned earlier the vehicle was on eBay not long ago, it’s either a 22 or 24 seater and there were 22 on board (including the driver)?
I saw the debate about how many seats the minicoach had but I must have
missed the mention of it being on Ebay. Have you got a link to it on Ebay ?
Someone said that the reg is CRZ 4816 but I can’t read it properly.
A search of CRZ 4816 on the net showed it as a number plate up for sale.
The lack of a 22 seater on the Prestige 2000 website may just mean that
their website has not been updated.

The whole case was wrong and seem biased from the start in not stating from the outset that ‘both’ drivers involved are helping police with their enquiries in relation to the possible charge as applies with the possibility that the mini bus driver is not in a fit state to be questioned as yet.

The first thing you said on this very thread was that the trucker was to blame even though you know nothing about him, the circumstances nor anything else. Were you there? No. Did you see it happen? No. You have based your opinions on a couple of pics taken after the event and you’re just filling in the blanks from your overactive and biased imagination.
Can I ask what you think of the standard of truck drivers today?
You’re off again! The topic has been done to death on here as you well know because you’ve been in the thick of every one of them.

Correct, but you do not NEED to post the same trucker-hate bile 20x a day. We heard you perfectly well the other 360 times. It’s like you have some sort of obsession and I think you should be considering seeking professional help for it.
Ahh, a quick search on the number plate reveals it’s a 24 seat minibus.

Thank God for that.
I couldn’t imagine anyone overloading by half a dozen people unless it was India.
“Albion” - ancient Greek for tedious.

Please get your facts correct. If you care to read my post again you will see I did not blame the truck driver. All I said was that there was a truck involved and it was fairly obvious who hit who.I did not blame anyone.
You did not answer my question?

I answered the question in the video which I posted showing that the ‘issues’ which you’re often ( rightly ) referring to are nothing ‘new’ concerning drivers of just ‘today’ at all. However until the law have actually charged the driver in question there’s no evidence that such ‘issues’ were the reason for the accident in this case.

Please tell me what in your CV sets you out as any different or more knowledgable than most on here regarding vehicle/driving related incidents.
You have hinted at “knowing more than most” nows time to back it up.
