Had similar thing happen to me. Driving left ■■■■■■ on M5 on way Yeovil Westland Helicopters. skip wagon swiped me and ripped my NS (RH) mirrors off
Got to yeovil Iveco dealers they replaced mirrors for me…
Was scary driving tho with no mirrors

So lets estimate what happened here some of us have been in that position, i was, whilst in Germany, by a bloody foreigner, anyway, had the good fortune to be not far from a B&Q, well their equivalent ( kaufland ) so me being a proper driver, made up a new one from a towel rail, it was plastic, so easy to screw into plastic, and a piece of wood with the mirror taped to that, it worked a treat,. in fact it stayed on for the next trip as well…just shows how really clever us English are, industrial revolution, no wonder we conquered them all.

I would get him to follow me in the van to the next junction and safe parking place and I’d do the mirrors for both of us and use the lightbar if need be.
If I had to on the h/s I’d get the unit angled in as much as possible it’s not a long job with a cordless impact wrench. I it was a tight h/s I’d do it from inside through the window.

Since when did a broken or missing mirror become a “Breakdown Situation”? What next, call Green Flag out for a blown brake light bulb? Or maybe you would like the motorway patrol to close off one lane while you retrieve your phone from the footwell.
