It would good to put one of those plastic skeletons, like the school biology class used to have, put in the drivers seat, and hide in the bushes to see their faces.

7.5 hours twice. Once at Iceland Enfield and the other time at Kwick Save at Newport. :unamused:

About 3 mins !
One and only time I’ve been to one of these places, took a trailer back to asda that had been in our workshop for repair. I pulled up at the gate and told jobsworth I was returning one of their empty trailers and needed to drop it off (acres of room in the yard for empty trailers), I was told to wait at the end of quite a long queue. I gave him a piece of paper with a phone no. on, he looked puzzled, I said ring that and make an appointment when your company wants to collect it from us!

10.5 hrs at a Tesco RDC in Northampton (I think ?). Think it was some kind of overspill warehouse.
It was on a Monday and the gaffer had already lined me up for a week of day shifts (home every night). As a result of this drop and it cocking up my hours I got home the following Saturday !!!
I have never shopped at Tesco since.

Argos magna park 8 hours!!
no coffee or snack machine :frowning:
Started off at crick to tip magna park easy money i thought! (agency job)

Luckily my sister works next door almost and brought me snacks and coffee

During the mid 80’s I drove night trunk for Swifts and shared a Volvo F7 with a day driver, I arrived at Duston one night and was told to take car to Tesco, Crick as he had been waiting to unload all day. I arrived and he drove the car away. I sat there all night and he came and relieved me next morning. It took 47 hours on site to get the trailer offloaded.

11 hours mmd Portsmouth for 2 palletts of bananas (tesco finest though!).

I remember Argos, Daventry, I had 4 pallets for a 08.00 tip and 3 pallets for 17.00 tip, hey took the first 4 off at 08.00 then sent me out to the yard to wait till 17.00 for the other 3.

6 hours at Asda Dartford to tip 7 pallets of arse-wipe. Good nights sleep on double time though :stuck_out_tongue: As far as I can recall, Messrs DHL wer’nt overly impressed :grimacing:
Nowadays, I get really stroppy if I’m held up anywhere, on salary see, no extra for going over your time

They ain’t changed! It’s amazing what you remember when you get warmed up. I was in there one night just before Christmas, and they’d give’en all but two holiday. Can’t remember the lenght of wait but yes another good nights sleep, and warm as toast too thanks to the night heater.

i wouldn’t even think of asking how long, this driver has been waiting
