pmsl I take it that truck was delivering to morrisons bellshill.

I deliver to Morrison bellshill everyday and on average I spend 4 to 4 1/2 hour everyday its the
only place I know of that has priorities list between 5am and 11am so you can go in at 9 and theres 6 trucks in front of you that wont be touched till 11.

But back to the question the longest ive been sat in there 10hoirs at xmas

Question to anybody who has to do RDC work …do you not feel your life is wasting away while you are there. I have been to Middlewich twice on the agency with Stobarts both times has resulted in me pulling out and dropping my trailer in that exchange park nearby. Them four hours waiting to tip one pallet of cat litter just leaves me thinking …Iam better then this…I can achieve much more in life…?

I totally agree with you I hate it I feel that I have si much more to offer the right company. I hate the fact that when you get home im so tired I for asleep way before bed time. it is so much hard to kill time doing nothing than doing something.

I can remember when I worked for Fed Ex on the Matchbox contract two of us went to Woolworths rdc just off the M62 in Lancashire, we got there for two afternoon appointments and at 7.00pm were still waiting and they made a rue about outside drivers not using the canteen. As we both were running out of hours fast the other driver (Hop Scotch) said we would leave to go to the service area and return next morning to which they refused to let us leave and still refused to let us in the canteen. Hop Scotch phoned the police who arrived and ordered Woolworths to let us leave or have full use of the facilities including canteen, showers etc as they were infact comitting the offence of ilegal imprisoment
We were allowed to do what ever we wanted from then on and on every visit after that

I used to deliver there in the late 80’s and I remember being there for ages but I remember always using their canteen because once I put flippin oxtail soup on me roast dinner thinking it was gravy, do I left it on the side and joined the back of the queue again, I got some dirty looks.

not an rdc, but i arrived at heathrows cargo centre in april last year, to tip at wfs/united airlines at about 16:30 on a friday afternoon, finally got tipped at 16:00 the next day, funnily enough the freight i had was booked on the 14:00 flight, so didnt even make it.

45 minutes on Bay 62 at Sainsburys Dartford with 52 pallets of Nestle cereal early on this morning! :grimacing:

Morrisons Sittingbourne Yesterday in and tipped in half an hour out of the side with a double forked forklift… Waited two hours for my notes as they only had one scanner working…Its unbelievable and Ive just come back after twenty years but I dont know if I can hack all the wasted time getting loaded and tipped its a total disgrace, as someone has already said we are worth a little more than being held hostage, which in reality is what it is, what with codes to get out and gate passes with footnotes declaring that you wont be able to leave without one, who do they think they are!!!
