I once spent 30 hours in a Canadian RDC…and we get paid by the mile.

Two weeks in Portugal, as they only load on Friday nights, and i was forgotten ,i was still there for one week, so had to wait all the next week on a sunny beach riding my bike, and getting a free shower in the camp site.
The old Ford Cargo that is sat on the south bound side of the M1 has been waiting to tip a few years too.
There is a photo somewhere on Trucknet showing a skeleton sat in the drivers seat and weeds and grass grown all over the truck, maybe a poster can post it, as it is very funny.

Nope, just tongue in cheek humour. Pulling a trolley though.

That is the trouble when Tesco own the delivery company. Ken Morrison is getting his own back for beating the two for one offer

Regularly 5 - 6 hrs at Tesco, Middlewich in 1999 when I was an owner driver.

Unfortunately in those days I wasn’t aware I could have been charging them demurrage

Did a shift of 14 hours 58 mins the other day, only 4hrs 10 minutes of that was driving, the rest was sat at a RDC, took them 15 minutes to offload the 13 pallets they needed, then the rest of the time was sat on the bay waiting to reload.

Plenty of getting shouted at as you aren’t allowed out of your cab, your keys etc, even to the toilet anytime you are there. After 3 hours I got bored and had to spend the next 40 minutes chatting up the warehouse girl to let me use their staff bogs and have my keys back so I could put the heater on and watch some DVD’s.

24 hours at a Renault parts warehouse in France
