I don´t shout, but I have never ever seen a Dinotrans on swedish plates. I think the swedish office/person are just there so the company can do cabotage traffic without being ilegal.

To be honest I don´t care, Europe is lost anyway nomatter what, soon Eddie Stobart probably will open in some east european country because it´s cheaper. All companies will go that way sooner or later, money rule the world and the transport industry.

The rich will be richer and the poor will be poorer. or something like that written with my bad english.

I doubt this company has had a fleet of trucks standing in the yard with no drivers that these 260 Filipino saviours have arrived to find totally empty and ready for their use. More likely the Latvians were all kicked out to make way just like with every ship that has done so in western Europe since the 1970s so that now we have no British, Dutch or German AB’s (Able Seamen) for example on any privately owned commercially operated ship at all, yet we offer employment to several thousand Filipinos doing that very same job.

If this trend is allowed to continue and grow, we all have a very bleak future ahead of us, if we’re in Europe that is.

Now to many company in Latvia looking for drivers with expirience,at least expirience for driving inside country.and problem simeral in England.people have licence ,some people try and after 1-2 run some people said SORRY NO MORE. danger,to many responsibility,long distance long time ,not see wife,no sleep with wife.
yes i think you can ask how many Latvian drivers earn every month???not bad for chicken :smiley: not one not work.basicly near all company don t pay per hour.pay per kilometrs between 0.10-0.14 Euro/km.some company pay waiting time,some no.every month drivers do 10-14 thousand km.,so can get about 1200-1400 Euro.just when drivers at home 3 week -don t pay nothing.shoulbe i back this years and try self in this role

Dinotrans is actually a Swedish company, they have subsidiaries in Estonia, Latvia and Poland, the office in Germany is mainly to stay legal regarding their work that goes a very small distance from Skandinavienkai. And I’d hazard a guess that a filipino willing to travel halfway around the globe to work would at least speak a few words of english or deutch - unlike their counterparts working at Dinotrans now.

well thank you for that website, has been on this thread multiple times but I guess sometimes enough is just not enough. I seriously doubt a latvian registered dinotrans pulling a swedish nils hansson trailer will receive any leniency from the bundes autobahn gestapo just because dinotrans also has an office and a few german reg trucks in moisling.

Or perhaps they really are just Filipinos. Do you have any idea how many Filipinos work on the worlds ships? They’re very cheap, they say yes to everything you tell them to do, no matter how reckless or dangerous and they will stay away for 9 months at a time, sometimes years at a time before returning to the Phillipines for a month or two. I’ve worked at sea with numerous Filipinos and nothing about this story makes me think these drivers are anything but that, the Phillipines largest export, cheap labour.

Well i meet one this so called drivers i Malmö in the south of Sweden.And well i feel sorry for him his light cable hade broken and he only spoke very porly english so he dident understand what to do to fix it.
the harbor workers dident let him to pic up a new trailer thanks to the light problem.Call the boss they said,and he just reply “problem?”
He was paid 550 euro/month.
And he was pulling DSV doing Norway…

Maybe in this case but who really knows where they’re from when there’s not much difference between the orientals regardless of their exact locality and Russia’s links with both Latvia and China whereas the US and the West has historically had more economic ties with the Philipines and South Korea etc.I think that last sentence can be applied througout South East Asia and China.

Kreiss is probably the worst company to work for, the wages are crap( I think it was 0.10 euro cents per km) they have a fuel limit of 30l/100km, if you go over that, they deduct that from your salary, they pay minimum wage 200 pounds and the rest is cash in hand, then if you damage the lorry that also goes out of your wages. My mates dad used to work for them, I think he was taking home about 800 quid per month.

The whole situation is really frustrating, because there are no signs that it will improve, its purely rich, powerfull people taking advantage of the poor.

Who are this Kreiss lot then? I cant say as I recall seeing any of them on the road. It sounds like a German name?

kreiss bigest Latvian company.have 560 truck.but definitly not bigest in Europa.main job in kreiss -moved fruit from Spain to Russia.normaly from Riga to Spain drivers 2 drivers.taked 11 day.Kreiss have as well some truck with Russian registration plate.because much more easy when go to Russia .

Inside country found class 1 job not easy,because mainly all do rigid.yes have arctic petrol tanker,tipping lorry and to many arctic lorry with HIAB WHO MOVED WOOD ,TREES FROM FOREST(sorry don t know what is call correctly).they have about 500-700 pound per month.as well depend from company.mainly all drivers Latvian in Latvian truck.

You have “daily allowance” (hope it’s the right word) for living on the road. To be able to eat out, have a couple of cups with coffee and so on. The “daily allowance” has a minimum of 59€ (if I remember right) a day on abroad work where I live, this is TAX FREE money for you to eat an so on. It’s something you guys seem to miss to require.

I eat lunch everyday on a restaurant, sometimes breakfast, buy a couple of coffees and so on. I would never in my life take a work were I couldn’t even afford to do that.

all depend from drivers.but no tax free money,no meal allowance.normaly drivers buy food from supermarket.have Small Gas Appliances,.and make hot food .much more cheap,and much moch more quality.same in England.better i go to Asda and buy pudding ,meat,drink for next week.for 10-20 pound .or if drivers go to MSA and each day about 10 pound.i just time from time when very hungry buy somethink from Msa.much money want every people,but much more important how peole spend this money.
