So why arenât the EU making sure that the jobs have to be advertised first in British job centres and seeing if any Brits want the jobs before allowing Latvia to even think about importing non eu workers.
No surprise that yet again the Brits are kept out in favour of cheaper labour from outside the EU with the lose lose situation that the British domestic labour market is also subject to importation of cheap labour.
Since when have the guys in Brussels done anything good to profit individuals instead of corporations? It is all conspiracy!

yes, near all company in Latvia or Poland deduct money ,if you damaged lorry(small think).and have diesel limit and millege limitâŚsome company give just 5 percent for milege mistake.if you taked wrong exit ang go 50 miles extra, can be problem.but it is for good drivers not problem. wages-i have to many friend who work for different company in Latvia for drivers .basically they got 1000-1500 per month.depend to mileges.every people want more money, but drivers who can spnd money correctly, don t drink everywhere and don t buy expense food happy with money.but i know drivers who work 6 week at internation driving and back home with zerow money.casino beer, restoran, girl.if English drivers will buy to many food from MSA ,he as well lost big money.
Thanks Mr Andrejs for an excellent information about Kreiss Co - Its quite big company and see them lots on A2 Germany - Poland corriders enroute to LV & Russia. Sometimes they went to England too
Yes I agree with you - cook own food & make own cups of tea & coffees are cheap than to buy one in Services also tasteless! save the money on pocket and take to home for something than spends on junks food or silly costa coffees rip off!

Jordan, for you - photos of Kreiss trucks, you may have not seen them before you off to Canada. They grew as quickly in few years ago

Cheers Ben, I certainly dont remember seeing any of those about. I wonder if Kreiss is owned by Germans, its certainly a German sounding name.

Reading on tnuk drivers reckon they are ârealâ drivers when doing a few weeks away from home, these fillippinos only get a free flight home after doing a year away, thats the new benchmark for a ârealâ driver, are you a ârealâ driver?.
Which is what they usually do on all of the British, Dutch, Irish, German, Danish, Swedish, Norwegian, Spanish, Italian, Greek etc etc ships they work on. Typically they do 9-10 months on the ship, after which time their flight home is provided and they have 2 months off and then repeat. On British ships they earn about 800USD per month, on German ships they get about 1000-1200USD per month. I read somewhere a few years back that something like 65% of the worlds ratings were Filipinos and despite that, there is a 40% unemployment level of Filipino seaman as the supply far outweighs the demand. If this is a trend that is allowed to continue, heaven help anyone driving a truck in Europe.

Every western european driver will be either left with the option of driving a tipper or skip wagon etc.
While all the rest will be retrained as university graduates to do all those new skilled jobs etc etc in our new restructured economies in which everyone is a scientist or a university lecturer to teach more university graduates so on and so forth.
Although there might be a few train driving jobs for anyone left out.

Maybe based on a Latvian German name.
Or possibly yet another German outfit stabbing harpoon in to a dying whale and setting up shop in Latvia and milking it for all its worth before pulling the harpoon out of the European transport industry carcass and injecting a strong dose of cheap Filipino labour to euthanise the patient once and for all.

A western world in which even ze Germans forget all about the interests of Volk and Vaterland and go for globalisation to the point where even German workers are redundant in the brave new world.Where cheap labour becomes the currency of the global business owners and bankers and where the idea of seperate nations working for the interests of their own people becomes a distant memory. It doesnât take a genius to see whatâs going on although they seem to have missed what was going to happen when the plan was laid out first years ago as a trial run in the case of the British merchant navy and itâs British employees.

Kreiss was established in 1994 by to man who was before just LGV DRIVERS LONG TIME. i can t said how quicly they increacy numbers of lorry.
kreiss.lv/en/about-us.html
but where head office at any company -not first.some company open office in germay just because it is better for reputation.you can have same truck, same drivers, but if office will be in Latvia or will be in Germany-big difference for reputation ,custumers watch from another side
In England i see kreiss just one time last years.and very some time i can see truck with Latvian registration number plate.
I must admit that on my travels I have never seen very many Latvian trucks at all, same with Estonian trucks. They are around but not in huge numbers in the same way that trucks from Lithuania are for example.
Lithuanian truck much more in the road.may be some latvian truck in the road with another country reg.i can see Polish truck every 5 minu t,every corner.
When I was back in England for Christmas I noticed a continuing trend. In the past few years there appears to be fewer and fewer Polish trucks from Polish companies on the road and more trucks/companies from BG and RO. But, there now appears to be a lot more Polish trucks pulling ferry trailers from the docks such as Immingham, Hull, Felixstowe than 3 or 4 years ago. Perhaps Iâm just imagening things?
BG AND RO. think him not easy,.much more cheap drivers ,but Bg and RO more worse reputation.not for drivers, but country.
Peeps weâre all going down the pan!!
