The whole issue just like the video says is all about a deliberate policy of social engineering to apply reverse racism against what should be the British population make up of the home country and the colonies.Obviously with the intention of reducing terms and conditions in the long term by taking advantage of immigrants from poorer countries with much lower expectations than our own.

However what is clear is that there’s been a deliberate policy against allowing in British nationals into Canada,on an open door basis,that would reflect the country’s ethnic British roots,for years even in the case of when europeans formed the majority of immigrants there.Probably on the instructions of the uk government knowing that such an immigration policy there would have created a net fall in the British labour supply with upward pressure on incomes here.Effectively what we had was a policy of blocking emigration of British workers to the colonies while encouraging immigrants from poorer countries wherever possible to rig the labour market in favour of a downward trend in wage rates and living standards.All done by calling anyone who can see the scam for what it is as being ‘racist’.

It seems obvious that the whole global scam in immigration policy based on driving down terms and conditions is now reaching the point where it’s so noticeable as to be obvious.

As an aside, on a program aired on radio four recently, it discussed Polands labour shortage. Since over two and a half million Poles have left to elsewhere in the EU, large amounts of Vietnamese have arrived in the country to take jobs. It got such a problem that the Polish govt had to declare an amnesty and make them Polish citizens.

Now they are legal EU citz, I wonder how long it will take for them to arrive in the UK driving Polish trucks.

Sorry Wheelnut but that is an ignorant comment .

Fact , there are not enough drivers or employees of any description to fill the vacancies . My home Province of Saskatchewan is going through a boom at the moment , oil , potash , diamonds , uranium , and of course wheat . We have a population of just over 1 million which just is not enough to fill the labour shortage .

Fact , the Canadian Government are positively recruiting immigrants to fill these vacancies , however unlike Britain they do not have an open door policy , certain criteria have to be met by the candidates . Indeed recently in SK immigration policies have been changed as the system was found to be being abused by certain folk from the East .

Whilst I’m sure your comment was meant with tongue firmly stuck in cheek I thought it best to clarify the situation here before others get the wrong opinion . :sunglasses:

There was a time when the British, Canadians, Americans, and New Zealanders could come and go from one anothers countries quite easily. Then the borders were tightened up in the former colonies when we joined the EU.
They knew if they kept the open border policies, That anyone from an EU member state would be allowed to come and go from the former colonies as they wished via the UK.

I doubt this company has had a fleet of trucks standing in the yard with no drivers that these 260 Filipino saviours have arrived to find totally empty and ready for their use. More likely the Latvians were all kicked out to make way just like with every ship that has done so in western Europe since the 1970s so that now we have no British, Dutch or German AB’s (Able Seamen) for example on any privately owned commercially operated ship at all, yet we offer employment to several thousand Filipinos doing that very same job.

If this trend is allowed to continue and grow, we all have a very bleak future ahead of us, if we’re in Europe that is.

That situation hasn’t applied for years and was stopped before we joined the EU.While even after we’d joined it all that was needed was a policy whereby immigration to the colonies could have easily been based on British ethnicity/descent only while stopping everyone else.But of course that idea doesn’t suit the big business agenda of driving down terms and conditions by the importation of cheap labour from poorer countries.Which is why there were loads of Jamaicans and Asian immigrants being allowed in here during the post war years but the Brits weren’t able to do the same in America,Oz,Canada,or New Zealand.

While if you look at those figures and Canadian immigration policy which I’ve posted you’ll see exactly that type of social engineering and reverse racism policy against Brits having been applied there even before we joined the EEC/EU.The fact is there’s been more non British immigrants allowed into America,Canada,New Zealand and Oz than British ones for years.Which is why those like the Australian Protectionist Party are ( rightly ) now camapaigning concerning the issue.As for the rest they seem to have been indoctrinated and tamed into submission by the big business interests branding anyone who disagrees with the bs policy as a racist.

If you’re saying long distance euro work 6 weeks on 3 weeks off :question: then I think that they’d probably have British drivers queueing up for the job let alone Chinese ones. :open_mouth: :laughing: Assuming the employers don’t mind paying a fair day’s civilised wage for a fair day’s work.

Although if that’s the case there’s no reason why the rota can’t be 3 weeks on 1 1/2 weeks off. :bulb:

It probably doesn’t make any difference wether we’re in the EU or out of it because the employers will want to apply the same policy just as they’ve done for years even before we were in the EU. :bulb:

If you are from a non european country, and want to work for an european company, you will need a work permit.
I do not see every european governements handing out work permits to Fillipinos.

We have ukrainians and russians driving estonian trucks. All you have to do is some paperwork and show that there is a shortage of drivers in your area (post and ad in the paper and wait a little). It’s loads easier to employ a driver from outside the EU than, say, a programming genius from Bangladesh to work in the Skype Research Center here.

I’d wondered a bit about all the Dinotrans wagons parked up at the docks in Travemünde - looking like the drivers basically lived there. This explains it a bit!

Actually their EE registered trucks parked in Travemünde are the ones doing the long distance work. They have german registered trucks and an office in Moisling to do the local work, ie SKF Hamburg, it’s actually cheaper to pay a german who’s home every night than a latvian, who gets paid by mileage and expects to get the miles.
