Just A Reminder......

Congrats on passing. ISTR usually its 25mg of alcohol in your blood before you can’t drive a bus but legal to drive a car.

Also they like you without points but if so the max is 3 for SP’s.

Enjoy!

Just had time to read your blog shag but couldn’t comment as have none of those accounts it needs.

Good news chap, good news and just think, those two years driving totty about will make you perfect for livestock haulage.

A thought has just gone through my mind(yes, yes,I do have them occasionally thank you very much :grimacing: )…the thought…yes I remember now,it may give you an advantage in that prospective employers may see you fit to drive wagons before the two year thingy.
Then again I reckon you may be seduced into being a bus pilot permanantly, but you must fight it Dean, fight it ■■■■ you

You can see now why I try not to have too many thoughts.

P.S…Have you a guaranteed job now?

As I am one of the ‘New Breed’ I need to take Mod 2&4 to become a profffffessssshunol bus driver

Once that is in the bag, I am on 6 months probation, but contracted for 2 years at a tenner a week payback.

The guys at the depot know of my plans and know where my heart lies. They say I may still be driving buses when I turn 50

I am hoping to stick it out the 2 years and see my littl’un grow up a bit more before I go on the wagons again.

But I am sure 2 years will fly by :unamused: :unamused:

Company policy is 14mg / 100

OH NO!!! not another cynical ex trucker on the buses       welcome aboard . have fun with the drivegreen/punters/car drivers etc best of luck :unamused: :unamused: :unamused:

I have only had a couple of braking faults on drive green. All smoothing out now though so green all the way

Allo mate…What’s drive green or am I misreading, being daft or both?

Drivegreen is the system that tracks how you are driving the bus. You have to log on to the system every time you drive the bus.

It also shows a trace of the route you took and exactly where the braking, rapid cornering, etc incident took place.

Basically it’s the electronic spy on the bus

Mod 2 Passed this morning. 48/50

Mod 4 Passed half hour later 85/100

Professional PCV driver now

Woo hoo

Congratulations Dean. Well done I wish you all the best in your new job.

Congrats Dean. Just had a slight chuckle to myself at the thought of Mod 4 for PCV - ‘Now demonstrate what restraint you would use for a hoodie-wearing chav off his face on White lIghtning’!

Hope it all goes well

Gary

I decided on the chain tensioner lol. I had the same convo with my co-trainee today

Well done Dean. Pete

Proper job, well done on passing all your tests. Who you working for?

FirstBus at Weston Super Mare

Thanks fort all the congrats. Now the fun begins

So will you get any training for a Bendibus with trailer?

Although your training for W&D artic alone is good enough for the Bendibus

Either way, I am sure that you will learn to excel with bus driving and by the time it burns you out with a hatred of the abusers of your provided service then you will be able to step into a suitable class 1 job of your liking

Yes! I know!!!

No. No bendi’s in WSM depot. :frowning:.

Been type trained on everything from an Optare minibus to a Volvo Olympian today and all in between.

It’s been quite an eye opener

Volvos are the best, cant beat a PS, B10. The Olympians are no too bad either. We have Alexander Dennis’ and Optare Solos here too and i cant stand either of them. However im lucky enough that i generally drive MAN’s
