Jobe transport ltd

Or he sounds like someone who only wants yes men to work there for very little money. Do has I say or go

But please come and work for me you can take your truck to truckfest

Ummm bit risky mentioning Truckfest eh.

Mr Shuttle’ must of missed that. : :astonished: :astonished:

I’m a ■■■■■■■ ■■■■ stirrer

Right i’m off to fetch me tin 'at. :grimacing: :grimacing:

Tipper Tom:
JOBE.

You sound like my ideal employer.

From your post I get that you want:

A bloke who turns up when he’s told
who doesn’t crash
who takes pride in his job
Who takes pride in your lorry
Who does as he’s [zb] told.
Who thinks for himself.
Who gets the job done
Who doesn’t ring in every five minutes and just gets it sorted

In return said bloke gets

Wages
A complete absence of bull [zb].
Kit that works and it kept up exactly as it should be.
A job for more than 5 minutes as long as you meet the above criteria
A complete absence of [zb] wits in the yard. No moaners, no dummy spitters and teddy throwers.

It sounds like a place is work if I wAs looking.

I don’t understand the attitude of I want a million quid a week for half an hours driving and I want to do that between 11 and 1130.

The haulage industry is in [zb] order because it’s populated by lazy tired [zb] with tickets on themselves.

Knuckle down. Get the [zb] job done and take your wages belt up moaning and perhaps the your employer won’t have to spend the money advertising your job and you can have what he saves in your wages

Got your tongue right up his arse haven’t you boy…

Not at all. I don’t know the bloke from Adam. I’m ■■■■■■■ miles away from Ipswich and I’m working full time.

It’s just refreshing to see someone who’s attitude to employing people isn’t full of bull ■■■■

Saaamon:

What because he says he wants to work for a straight talking boss, instead of a corporate clone in a logistics company that is only interested in ticking boxes on a performance worksheet.

Do you get half hour lunch between 11 and half past

If you can earn enough to live on it don’t matter what you drive.

The job I do I’m in a different unit every night, I still wash it down before I start. and when on the late run unit an trailer goes through the wash as it’ll be empty ( the trailer that is ).

The only other lad that wash’s the unit on my shift is a Polish lad the others don’t give a flying ■■■■■ they just wanna job an knock.

A clean an tidy motor is an advert for any company Jobes or Spanky’s included normally shows that the owner cares about kit as do the drivers and in my experience if that’s the case they look after the load better too.

and no I don’t know Mr Jobe met Spanky when his bungge was a tad stretched  but that’s all .

JOBE:
Yes i did get that bit just pointing out how things get carried away on hear. :unamused:

It’s actually ‘here’ not hear, let’s get the terminology correct…

Hi Jobe.Just out of curiosity,[due to all the comments]had a look at your Company site.Must say it looks quite tidy,a bit like the '‘old fashioned’'sort of companies that i’ve always worked for in the past, and indeed still am up here.Strange to see who you pull for as i lived for many years in Holland and worked a lot alongside Visbeens when i worked for NEDU.My old boss Nijman\Zeetank was a business partner of Estron\Getron in the old Days.Where do you run to abroad,if anywhere now.Just curious.Mike

couldnt agree more im on with a big firm and the amount of red tape for the simplest of things is unreal :unamused: and the moaners were its never good enough or they are crying cos they thing others have got a better load etc really gets quite boaring :unamused: :unamused: :unamused:

I’m fairly fortunate that I haven’t done the while corporate haulage thing. I know I wouldn’t fit with it so I stay away

thats why in our yard there is quite a big divide you got the women who wont start before x time wont do this that and the other then you have the lads that just crack on start whatever time is needed to get jobs on time dont mind pushing on a till your card melts ( all legal i might add )

I left Maritime in sept my first experience of working for a so called blue chip employer absolute nightmare. I only stayed cos I had 9 points and was unemployable elsewhere. as soon as they disappeared I was off. I now work for a smallish company 55-60 trucks where the 2 owners work the desk and chat to you every time your back in the yard. I’m now a name again and not a number. Had a mate who worked for Jobe 4-5 years ago and had no complaints from him ain’t seen him in a while so not sure if he’s still there ?. but as for washing Wagons we got someone who comes in at the weekend and does em suits me fine

There seems to be plenty of those on here

I live 5mins from Jobes yard, and if i wanted to go up the road all week i would give them a ring.

Its nice to know exactly where you stand with an employer. I don’t know but I imagine Mr Jobe can walk the walk and not just talk the talk. This speaks volumes to me. The other question I’d like to ask - What would you say to a driver who had a family emergency? As has been discussed on another thread.

Sounds good mac12
Can someone spell check that for me!

Drivingmissdipsy I take it you don’t want the job
Shame I would have washed the truck for you .

Never easy Mr jobby

Lol busted

If an employer wants to willy waggle by having blinged up trucks all shiny and sparkly, then they should really be forking out for an account with the truck wash companies…instead of expecting their hard working drivers to give up a Saturday morning.

It’s called valuing your greatest resource, your drivers.
