Jobe transport ltd

Just seen a job advertised for them what are they like to work for

jobe is a member on here

Jobe and Rturners (who i use to work for) get on well, always use to see them in the yard swapping trailers, generally seemed like an ok bunch, bit of a shiny mans job i believe, not sure on pay, probably crap (east anglia and ferry trailers :unamused: ), from what i’ve heard i wouldn’t work for them but others do.

Basically if you don’t like working and don’t keep your lorry clean…dont apply!!

I like working is the wage advertised the take home pay or ontop

Jobe motors come in our yard with p&o trailers loading rubbish. Look nice motors well until they leave our yard.

I have known the owner of jobe transport for years and i mean years if i was out of work myself i would give it a go.I do not now what the pay is but it must be on par with the rest down the dock as if it was not they would not get drivers.I now wages is a major part of any job but i myself would sooner get a bit less but get treated right. As for keeping lorries clean i always thought it was part of the job in taking pride it what you drive

After saying they run bent on an internet forum i dont think his last employer would be putting down the welcome mat

I delivered there today.

I turned up 8am for a 10am tip, was told to park outside behind 2 other wagons, 1 of those was a 9am and 1 was a 10am - and I’m a 10am :open_mouth:

Finally went through the gate around 12pm, only had 6 pallets on lol - but none of us knew that in advance, so was tipped and out pretty sharpish.

The fork lift driver and the guy who signed my notes were both friendly.

50 - 70% of the yard is excellent, if a little crammed in, the back of the yard is like the moons surface, but with a lot of water today, but just took it slow and other than getting a little dirty, was no probs.

They’ve got some nice looking trucks in there and some old trucks.

Sorry I can’t be more help, didn’t notice this thread until just now.

Oh, and a friend who used to subby for Roadways had / has an ex Jobe Iveco and I’ve never known it be broken…

Went for an interview a few years ago on a Saturday morning guys were in yard washing down trucks looked good from what I remember wages was about £20 pw below par, but what ■■■■■■ me off was that he got me to fill in application took license details etc and all the time we were talking he kept stopping to talk to other drivers etc was not impressed with his attitude said he would be in touch but not to my surprise I never heard anything more so I count my self lucky i didn’t have to work for him, his lose my gain.

And what’s that, ignorance, arrogance, surely a bit of common decency to let somebody know that they have been unsuccessful wouldn’t have been too much to ask?

Oh, hang on, maybe he won’t get back to us
