Exactly but you seem to be confusing all those different issues.
Any ‘normal’ human being who’s ‘wired up properly’ would know that there’ absolutely nothing wrong with ‘mating’ with any eligible girl within and according to the law because the law,as it stands,is about right.
Starting a relationship with a girl in her mid teens and then marrying her and staying with her for life has absolutely no connection whatsoever to any ideas of those perverts who fancy children.
As for the father figure there’s no way that anyone should ever look at any type of normal male/female relationship as such in the case of looking for a wife.There’s no connection whatsoever.Why the zb would any single bloke want to treat any girl as his daughter assuming she isn’t his daughter and assuming she’s old enough to be seen as a potential wife just as the establishment saw Diana Spencer when she was in her mid teens

Whatever the rights or wrongs of the BBC, the Establishment etc, the FACT is that in today’s society, it is seen as highly unusual and suspicious for a man of middle age to have any “interest” in somone who is 15/16/17 years old whatever their intention.
You also questioned why a man would want to be a father figure to girls that age: Most girls of that age would I amagine find it highly uncomfortable were you not to act like a friendly dad/uncle figure around them (daughters mate’s etc).
You don’t seem to have moved on from not being able to date girls of your age back in the day, who wanted to go out with older men. You HAVE to deal with this fact and set your sights on a woman of similar age to yourself who you can get to know and see what happens.
Wanting to date someone purely on their age group is a recipe for failure. You shoud want to date someone due to their personality, interests etc and yes, by being attracted to them.
When you do find happiness you will realise how much time you have wasted by musing over this girl you lost out to back in the day.
Unless you are fabulously wealthy, the chances of any middle age man finding someone in the age group you wish are nil. Move on and find happiness elsewhere or you will die a lonely old man with only regrets to look back on

I think you’ve missed just about everything else which I’ve said in this topic relating to the freedom to do whatever anyone wants to do ‘‘so long as it’s within the law’’ and the fact is it it is within the law for anyone,regardless of age,to have a relationhip with a girl over the age of 16 and the fact that at this point in life I’ve got zb all to lose by just waiting and seeing what happens.If it’s meant to be it will happen if not it won’t and I’ve not said anywhere here that I’m ‘only’ interested in looking for someone in the 16-17 age group.I’ve actually said very similar to yourself that anyone in middle age pulling anyone in that age range,at least in my case,is probably an impossible dream.But.Contrary to your ideas,as I’ve said through these pages,experience tells me the chances of that are better than absolutely nil.
