This is supposed to be a brand new model, its not, its just a heavy facelift from the current one.A new truck is what Volvo did from the 3 series to the 4 series
I disagree. When you get to look at one of these in depth I think you’ll find its a totally new cab. Face-lifts are usually obvious by looking at the back of the cab, it normally stays the same. Nothing on this cab looks the same and the dimensions are completely different. Don’t mistake Scania keeping the image consistent with using an old cab

Think you missed my point Luke. How different is the Volvo you drive for Bull to the Volvo you drove for Virginia ?

Well if that was your point it would be better to say it’s not all that different, because that cab is completely new. But yes you have a point otherwise. I actually think the Volvo at 4 years old still looks more modern than this. Different manufacturers always do it differently, the likes of Volvo and Mercedes have always gone down the radical change route, the likes of Scania prefer subtle advances

I don’t mind saying it is starting to grow on my a bit. Looking forward to seeing some in proper paint jobs
Here you go , (not my picture, found on the interweb)
on fb you can find many more, most, if not all, photoshopped.
That’s why I said proper! Actually painted up lorries rather than a teenagers photoshop dream
Nope, the more I look at it, the more I dislike it. What is going on the light placement right underneath the windscreen?

Weird aren’t they. Interestingly I bet you cant spec it with all the lights on one truck. We wanted the roof spots in my lorry but Volvo wouldn’t fit them to a truck with xenons as it would fall foul of an EU law on the amount of light emitted

I suppose they could be those day time running lights.

Odd that as Harrison’s transport Fh750 has them in, both of them have ,I assume Xenons are standard?

Possibly fitted afterwards. Xenons are standard on the FH16
Saddened and disappointed all at the same time.
An opportunity to change things and they tweak the edges of everything…Just what is the point?

I take your point, but, and i hate to mention one of the most unfathomably hated brands here, Scania are a bit old fashioned, in many ways not unlike Hino (not comparing the product), thing is the old product isn’t actually broken so arguably all it needed was a little tweaking, what wasn’t broken didn’t need fixing anyway.
They steered and braked and handled pretty decently, the mirrors weren’t the best (small door mirrors needed to be larger) but at least you could see between them where other makers simply bolted spare oversized wardrobe mirror casings on which created olympic gold medal standard blind spots, so am very glad to see the real versions have kept a lookee see gap.
None of us here yet know for sure whats been going on under the cab which is where changes really count and we won’t till we normal (well ish) drivers get to use them in anger, so far its all been about aesthetics and as always one mans meat etc but in all honesty for the majority of lorry drivers looks are most definately second place to what the vehicle drives like and its long term reliability.
Whilst those who like to pose might feature regularly, they’re not exactly thick on the ground in most yards where the work is being done day in day out.
Hopefully they’ve done something about the bread and butter engines clattering like a bag o’ nails, improved the default fleet spec auto box especially at junctions and time delay to re-applying power (even though miles ahead of arsetronic already), improved the previously virtually pointless exhaust brake and last but not least done something about ride quality and the orange box seats.

My word that’s a gruesome looking thing!

Safe to say that “Fleet Spec White” does not help with its unique styling…
Wait till Gregorys get fleet spec ■■■ brown ones. They wont be pretty.
