Yes, and I’m sure Ken (Quinny) will add some comments too as he’s done a lot of work there.
There’s 2 sides to it - the milk side and the butter/cheese side. If you can get on the butter/cheese side you’ll be laughing as it’s all pallets and mostly RDC work and a right doddle.
The milk side means silly o’clock starts, Kwik Save stores with tight access, tail lifts, ■■■■■■■ roll cages of milk about and generally a load of hard work. W Yorks agencies advertise for drivers to go in there all year round, so that should tell you something 
. It’s something I would’ve probably done when I first passed my class 1 for the experience, but I wouldn’t do it now - too much like hard work for a lazy arse like me .

Never had owt to do with this lot. Is this the crowd based down Morley way somewhere? Whichever agency you go with you don’t want any less that £9/hr days and a tenner on nights, both with time 1.5 afrer 8hrs. Many are paying 9.50 and 10.50 now - some even a tenner on days but those are the lesser known ones and tend to go by word of mouth more.
If you want a nice easy break in to class 1 driving, get yourself down to Manpower in Dewsbury - they do the Royal Mail agency contract and Royal Mail work is the biggest doddle going, usually trunking between RDCs or to the rail heads. Leeds RM is next door to Arla at Stourton and the Yorks RDC is down at Whitwood next door to Asda RDC on the left of the M62.

Tenner on class 2 round here is good moolah (assuming time 1.5 after 8hrs as well). I’m sure the locals on here would agree. Take it - the experience will be worth it and you’ll have your vital 2 yrs experience (I told them this after 6 just months and they never batted an eyelid) in no time at all.

Hi Rob K, Welcome back.
IMHO, £10ph on Cat C is very good indeed in almost any area.
There’s guys on C+E who’d love to be on a tenner an hour in my area too.
As you said, if there’s 1.5 after 8 hours, that would be nice.

I have, sort of. I’m out there about 3 weeks per month at the moment on business with my brother. I fly back out on Sunday.
