See Truckulent, you’re a knob. I’ve always suspected it and now I know for sure. I’m glad I’m not the only one to have such thoughts.
Do you know what I think Truckulent? I’ll tell ya.
I think you’re so bothered about people working for free because you’re an overweight, unemployable, waste of a ■■■■■■■■ desperately hanging on to the job you’ve already got and you’re absolutely terrified that a young, good looking, fine example of a man is going to steal it from you because he shows a bit of willing and is much easier on the eye. That’s what I think.
PMSL

OK Mr Crab Face. I obviously touched a nerve there matey!!
-
I’m not overweight or a ■■■■■■■■, wasted or otherwise.
-
I don’t have a job fella. I work for myself. I have two businesses - one driving trucks as a self employed driver, the other is connected with music and is my preferred job as it pays 3 times what driving does, but it can be seasonal so i drive as i don’t like to have all my eggs in one basket.
-
I work around 30-35 hours a week in total and certainly don’t work any harder than I have to - I’m not a mug.To me being succesful means you do as little as you can for as much as you can. And yes, I pay all the bills with that…
-
I am not terrified that a young handsome man will take my job.(You’re not vain by any chance are you?!) If you think you could run either of my businesses, you’re welcome to try Mr Crabs, but to run one of them you’ll need a degree in music fella! Not much good being handsome and willing as that doesn’t count, only a degree will do!! Driving wise I’ve only been at it a short while but have NEVER worked for nothing (and never would) but, I earn a decent wack as a self employed driver. I wasn’t aware that being damnably good looking was a pre-requisite of driving a truck-thank you for the info…
Can’t say I’ve noticed many good looking truck drivers on my travels so far…
-
I don’t have to resort to personal insults to make my point either - you don’t know me mate so don’t talk about things you don’t understand…
Ok so i’m a knob fellas. Mr Crabs suggested it and you all agree…Baaaaaaa. You’re all entitled to think so. I don’t give a ■■■■ 'cos i’m not the idiot flogging my guts out for 8 quid an hour for someone else to cream the profit…I believe you should get paid a fair rate for a decent day’s work. If you’re happy to work for free be my guest. If your happy with £7.50hr fantastic…After all there’s one born every minute
To the peeps who think I have a blinged up truck - I haven’t any truck. I drive what i am given. I wouldn’t pay 5p out of my pocket to bling up someone else’s truck…but if that’s what floats your boat…
If someone is prepared to work for free I won’t be the only one out of work Mr Crabs!! So will you be mate - oh I forgot - you will work for free…good luck with the bills…maybe you could go and ‘work’ for Eddie, I’m sure they’ll be delighted to get a free shift out of you…Shame you weren’t born a 150 years ago mate. The workhouse would have been your idea of heaven by the sound of it…
lol
Too long. Didn’t bother to read it.
Perhaps you could do a shortened version that doesn’t lose your attention by the first paragraph?

No agency work for class 2?
Not unusual in the current climate. Wrong time of the year for builders merchants, which used to form the bulk of my last stint of agency work, plus the agencies will be trying to hang on to their Class 1 drivers so they’ll get first dibs of any rigid work, assuming any of them are willing to do a proper day’s graft for a change… dons tin hat and awaits incoming…
True that, I was getting Jewsons and Buildbase Hi-Ab work everyday for the agency over the summer period but then it just dried up, guess my fault really I should have saved every penny to pay for my class 1 but I thought I would have a regular job on class 2 over Winter
live and learn so they say

LOL
I bet you didn’t…
…Too difficult to reply to that one Mr Crabs…I bet it was the words with more than two syllables that did it

Sorry - I didn’t realise you had the attention span of a four year old…should have guessed though by your inane ramblings.
Perhaps if you go and have a lie down after each sentence you might manage it by the weekend…

Truckulent , I dont think you are a knob
It appears you have touched a nerve somewhere

Thank you Suffolk. I agree, nerves are jangling…
I merely think that drivers work hard, and the ones that do a good job should get paid decent money and not have the ■■■■ taken out of them…which includes the ‘can you just do this for free’ requests. If you were being given a start at Sains onthe tills they’d put you on 3 months probation sure - but still pay you.
Why not the same for drivers??

Yeah… after all you don’t want to catch a crab do you?

All fairness though most class 2 jobs that are about (Very few) average £8hr you got to take whats about its either that or the dole we cant all be lucky and have our own well paid business with a high income its all part of the great ladder climb

If this setence from you Truculent is in response to what i posted below, then you misunderstood it.I was more aiming it at Crabface and his assertion about you. If you read my other posts you’d see my attitude is not that disimilar to your own. my homuor didnt cut across the net

But I dont want Truculents job, He’s probably got hi bars and low lights or whatever there called
Some of the above may contain errors
I too dont spend on exterior toy. Or work for nowt.

What about your wife? If you’re as boring as you come across on here, I would start worrying about that if I were you.
Just a joke Truckulent, just a joke. No nerves touched, just thought I’d live up to my reputation as a troll and see if I could provoke you into writing a rage fuelled essay about how ace you are.
Oh look, it worked. Stop taking everything so seriously dude.

I didn’t say i have a high income. My income is decent but not huge by any means. Don’t get me wrong, I know some jobs are not great money. But the money isn’t going to get better when there are drivers out there prepared to do a week’s work for free, on any pretext. What’s to stop the company getting a different driver every week and promising the same? Do a week - the job’s yours. Nah sorry, you don’t cut it…Then the next one, then the next one!!!
How does that benefit drivers?
Incidentally, my businesses are a result of taking a few risks and doing some research and sticking to my guns… it hasn’t always been easy but what is? It just takes a bit of balls. Maybe if a few more drivers had them things would be a bit better all round…

I don’t think I’m the one that that took the bait Mr Crabs. After all, you’re the crab not me…
I never mentioned how ace I am. Just commented on your totally inaccurate assessment of my job and appearance and your state of handsomeness and how unnecessary it is for driving duties…
WTF has the missus got to do with it? Don’t you worry about my wife fella, She doesn’t really like little boys with short attention spans…handsome or otherwise. She prefers someone that has managed to get past the Janet and John books…
Cheers for the giggle tonight too - you really don’t want to get into a row of words with me fella - you aint gonna win matey 'cos i know words with more than 2 syllables in…
LMAO

I don’t mind getting into a row of words with you Truckulent. This is a forum, silly. Look at my face.
While you’re huddled over your monitor composing your long, tedious replies to my one-liners, Mrs Truckulent is in the other room having unspeakable things done to her by a handsome young man with a shorter attention span than you. But guess what Truckulent, he’s got a longer ■■■■ than you so she doesn’t care.
Looks like I won the row of words, or is ten minutes not enough for you to think of something boring to write?
Night night Truckulent, love you.
Truckulent:

You know, I have just been chatting to an old friend of mine over in the UK. There are many people that admire his vehicles and there are several pics on here of same.
He says that breaking even is the best anyone can do at the moment.
So yet again there is this bullcrap about the boss taking the cream and the poor driver left in the cold. If you are so well off, Truckulent, then I suggest you wind your neck in as someone will come along and undercut you and still make money.
As for the music thing, well maybe you do need a degree… Maybe we should ask half the people that have made such success with their lives in music whether they have degrees. Christ on a bicycle, there is always one, isn’t there■■?
Truckulent:
To me being succesful means you do as little as you can for as much as you can.
I believe you should get paid a fair rate for a decent day’s work.
That’s exactly what the unions were saying during the 1970’s just before Maggie got elected.

It’s ironic how many ‘successful’ people think exactly the opposite when it’s the workers saying the same thing as they are and don’t hear many complaints by successful people about making anyone, who’s unlucky enough to get made redundant, work for their dole money.

Err CF old chap, you seem to have suffered from premature submission, you missed out the bit about Detroit engines and double drive, oh and working for less than the Poles so you can go overland to Thailand to get a teenager bride, not forgetting to slap a few poofters on the way down
What’s this about the poofters? I seem to have missed that…
Oh, and the Thai bride thing… well you know you can never be sure what type of bride you will get… Will this drag Brentanna back?

Shockingly our old mate CF has homophobic tendancies, check out Bullys Bar, he took a little bit of heat over there recently, must’ve knocked the wind out of sails, he hasn’t been the same since
I miss him
