How many miles to and from work daily?

SmashedCrabFace:

Truckulent:

D’ya not?:

SmashedCrabFace:
Sixteen miles there during rush hour - half an hour.
Sixteen miles back in the dead of night - eight minutes.

Really?

Nah, it’s his fairly stories again mate…he’s famous round here for 'em. Just wait, he’ll be telling us what a stud he is again in a minute… :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing:

Who said I was driving?

I get a lift off Truckulent’s missus in his helicopter.

Yawn…

Yep, still talking the same old ■■■■■■ :grimacing:  :grimacing:

Happy new year Truckulent, hope you have a good one.

i’m quite lucky , my house is only about 3 - 3.5miles from the yard :sunglasses:

my daily travel to work is 112 miles each way, takes 1h50min.

18 mile round trip for me, usually I’m away Monday to Friday so no big fuel bills. Takes about 20 mins Monday and 45 back because of the Friday hometime rush hour

32 mile round trip country roads 4.6 V8 heavy right foot 16 mpg

100 miles a day about 50 miniutes each way can be upto 2 hours at rush hour :open_mouth: :imp: :imp: :imp: but usualy time it so i finish before or after rush hour lol

gallows_man:
3 miles round trip for me so i consider myself very lucky

I have 2 Miles :grimacing:

80mile Each way, but only on a weekly basis, so 160 mile a week isnt to bad. Old Audi A4, 1.8petrol, but at 35-36mpg, I reckon she’s doing all right for her 15years. Tank off petrol a fortnight or near enough, but the extra I’m earning on Felixstowe wages, far out ways what I can earn with North Norfolk firms, even tramping

160 mile round trip once a week, leave home Sunday night and back Friday night. Or at least it was :frowning:

Tiger.

I’m really trying to get in with BBT which is only 3 miles here and back so that would be ideal. I cant really afford ££ wise to have a long commute each day but being a newbie i cant really afford to turn anything down…

If after fuel and deductions your £1 better off than now on dole your better off god sake you get licence paid for and now moaning about maybe having to travel to and from work.
I’ve been out of work in the past with a family and taken a job where I was £10 better off than I was not working but I did it and after fuel I was worse off financially but better off in myself.

10 miles each way once or twice a week.
last job was 100 miles a day 5 days a week in a car doing 21mpg on motorway, didn’t mind at the time as they payed for my hgv’s

18 miles round trip 4 or 5 times a week.no traffic when i start at 1am and just the usual when i finish around 11 or 12.

16 mile round trip although when new depot opens it will be about 200 yards less

42 mile round trip per day 5 days a week on apprentice pay… good job i drive a 3 cyl 1 litre corsa lol bout £45 a week on fuel

Appox 4 mile round trip each day…i should really get a pushbike and ride to work but to be honest im just too lazy

Used to commute from Hereford to Gloucester, claimed 40p a mile, took about 45 mins on a good run, 1 hour 20 mins on a bad un.

Used to hate the journey home after a 14/15 hour shift, St.Ivel contract, Brockhurst.

Wincanton were great to work for, gave the long runs to the agency.I was with Camion agency at the time, very good , would give you the same times for a week, sometimes a month !

Now commute about 2 miles, got a small van.
