18 mile round trip for me, usually I’m away Monday to Friday so no big fuel bills. Takes about 20 mins Monday and 45 back because of the Friday hometime rush hour
80mile Each way, but only on a weekly basis, so 160 mile a week isnt to bad. Old Audi A4, 1.8petrol, but at 35-36mpg, I reckon she’s doing all right for her 15years. Tank off petrol a fortnight or near enough, but the extra I’m earning on Felixstowe wages, far out ways what I can earn with North Norfolk firms, even tramping

I’m really trying to get in with BBT which is only 3 miles here and back so that would be ideal. I cant really afford ££ wise to have a long commute each day but being a newbie i cant really afford to turn anything down…
If after fuel and deductions your £1 better off than now on dole your better off god sake you get licence paid for and now moaning about maybe having to travel to and from work.
I’ve been out of work in the past with a family and taken a job where I was £10 better off than I was not working but I did it and after fuel I was worse off financially but better off in myself.
10 miles each way once or twice a week.
last job was 100 miles a day 5 days a week in a car doing 21mpg on motorway, didn’t mind at the time as they payed for my hgv’s
Used to commute from Hereford to Gloucester, claimed 40p a mile, took about 45 mins on a good run, 1 hour 20 mins on a bad un.
Used to hate the journey home after a 14/15 hour shift, St.Ivel contract, Brockhurst.
Wincanton were great to work for, gave the long runs to the agency.I was with Camion agency at the time, very good , would give you the same times for a week, sometimes a month !
