I’m really trying to get in with BBT which is only 3 miles here and back so that would be ideal. I cant really afford ££ wise to have a long commute each day but being a newbie i cant really afford to turn anything down…
If after fuel and deductions your £1 better off than now on dole your better off god sake you get licence paid for and now moaning about maybe having to travel to and from work.
I’ve been out of work in the past with a family and taken a job where I was £10 better off than I was not working but I did it and after fuel I was worse off financially but better off in myself.
Don’t be so bloody rude. Who mentioned anything about the ■■■■■■■ dole? I’m not even on the dole now FYI, keep your nose where it ■■■■■■■ belongs. I forgot people on the dole are generally looked at like lazy ■■■■■■■■ and in your eyes clearly we’re no different. Just because I had my license funded for me doesn’t mean I can’t weigh up my options of how far I travel to work.

Whether you’re on the dole now or not is irrelevant. The fact of the matter is - you got your C licence paid for by the taxpayer.
What Mr villagenearhull71 is saying is you should get a job, any job, even if you have to spend every penny you earn on commuting to that job.
I wanna see you sweating Millar, it’s time to pull your weight.
0 miles at the moment, having a break from work for a while to concentrate on renovating my house. i’m not going to sign on as i’ll get bugger all and if i get one day a week i’ll loose all that anyway, also i can’t stand the idiots who work in the jobcentre. got an application in for summer contract with the AA and hopefully some ski trips in the next couple of months so fingers crossed.
60 mile round trip each day, six days a week, every week. Domestic hours before anyone asks! Driver training is exempt from EU Hours.

Technically I paid more than enough into the system in my previous job to have the course paid for. I see now however it would’ve been more sensible to save for something I knew I wanted to do but should’ve could’ve is irrelevant now, mistake has been made.
28 mile round trip twice a week

That’s not how it works Sam. Using your logic it’s about time these silly taxpayers paid my mortgage off for me, and while you’re at it, I could do with a new car.
I don’t think the distance you have to travel should be a concern right now. Find someone willing to give you that all important first chance and go for it. Even if it involves a five and half hour drive just to get there, you’ll still get your eleven hours daily rest in.
I have always been fortunate enough to work within 7 or 8 miles of home, or in cases where I have worked away, I have mainly lived in the cab and come home only when passing or for a long weekend!
5min walk to work,around 2hrs walk home . well it passes a bar . …lol
My yard is 45miles away from the house, I do four/five round trips a month, don’t know how much it costs me and I don’t care either
Used to do 43 miles each way when at DHL 5 days a week. Now I am at Swain’s its 1 mile each way, result!
30 miles each way. I work 4 on 4 off so it’s not too bad overall
