D’ya not?:

SmashedCrabFace:
Sixteen miles there during rush hour - half an hour.
Sixteen miles back in the dead of night - eight minutes.

Really?

Nah, it’s his fairly stories again mate…he’s famous round here for 'em. Just wait, he’ll be telling us what a stud he is again in a minute… :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing:

Who said I was driving?

I get a lift off Truckulent’s missus in his helicopter.

Closest was 30second walk. Don’t really like travelling over half an hour for work.

4 miles each way, each day, soon add’s up though, at the end of the week i can soon be looking at 200+ miles at the end of the week, as for the car, it’s a honda 1.6 auto that return’s about 35/38mpg. so i’m happy with that.

Er, 4miles both ways is 8 miles per day. 5 days a week is 40miles. Someones pinching your motor and doing 160miles a week in it without you noticing.

22 miles in and 22 miles home 5 nights a week now I’m not tramping! Takes 35-40 minutes around N Circ on a quite evening! Upto 2 hours in Rushour! :open_mouth:

12 mile round trip, good job anaw cos i dont really like driving shame about the 500 odd kms in-between when i start and finish though

not sure how many miles it is but £15 of petrol last me 2 months :grimacing:

28 miles round trip 5 days a week. 1.5 diesel clio £20 a week thrashing up and down A66.

12 miles to work, then 4 days later 12 miles home.5.7ltr V8 truck at stupid mpg but plenty of smiles per miles.

Most of my working life I’ve done 60 miles a day. Sometimes its been 75 miles for a job, sometimes 30 but 60 is the average. I once did a month doing 180 miles a day four on, four off whilst being trained up.

604 mile round trip once a week, use a Mondeo ST 2.2 TDCI 47MPG so that is GBP 105.- a week on diesel (use only superduper V power :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing: )

Same car as mine. I don’t use the V-Power fuel though, too expensive for my taste.
Drove to Tenby for a holiday last year. It was loaded with wife and kids and suitcases etc. Went from Wigan and it returned 54mpg. Better than my dads 1.6 Petrol Astra and my brother in law’s 1.4 Petrol Megane. Belting car!

Can be easy done, but the traffic jam around Birmingham and up to Manchester leaning heavy on the mpg.
And I have a strange habit to put my foot down after Preston until I hit Glasgow. :grimacing: :grimacing: :grimacing:
Great car, massive torq, and many a “executive car driver” isn’t halve surprised when you pull away from them.
Shame the new model is not in the same league for styling and driver smiles.

i do about 18 miles, round trip, usually away monday back friday,so handy enough commuting costs. :sunglasses:

gallows_man:
3 miles round trip for me so i consider myself very lucky

Roughly the same for me: And I cycle so £8.30 ph aint bad (excluding load bonus which adds £1-2ph extra so mustn’t grumble about money at least…

bugger forgot about the 4+4=8 :unamused: , but i can easly pick 160miles, go to lincoln 1/2 a week, thats 50miles, boston 30miles, sleaford 25miles

it soon add’s up dosent’ it.

From my bed at home to the gates at work is about 400yds, ironically it was the job that allowed me to buy the house saving me a 10mile round trip. Takes longer to drive than walk

44 mile round trip, which is why I try and have a couple of nights out a week, or if not I take the truck home, lorry park in town is only a 15minute walk away.

I’m really trying to get in with BBT which is only 3 miles here and back so that would be ideal. I cant really afford ££ wise to have a long commute each day but being a newbie i cant really afford to turn anything down…

I am based in New York City and live 230 miles north of there so quite a distance. The advantage I have is that I keep my truck at home even to the extent of even if there is no load for my area I bob tail all the way every friday and back again on monday. If I go on vacation for a week or two the truck stays on my driveway. Most fridays I bring home a load for Ben & Jerry’s which is just 100 miles north of here an takes me 2 hours on monday mornings or late on sunday night.
If I had to return to a local trucking company I would have to take a huge pay cut and have to drive my own car at least 14 miles to my old company which is the nearest to my town.

About 60 mile a day.
Had the gypsies that I’ll be offered permanent full-time by February, (been full-time on the same job via agency since July) but with me being a stubborn ■■■■■■■ not willing to take a pay cut, it looks like I’ll soon be doing 0 mile a week, as somebody else’ll be doing it.

Already done some fishing and I’m “out of scope” under the AWR rules, as there is no other “comparable worker”, allegedly. :unamused:
