How Far Do You Travel To Work?

95 miles, 4 nights tramping.

4 miles each way, use my Jeep if its wet, push bike if its dry, Bandit if I want to play !

40 miles round trip

If I walk about 200yds, in the car 300yds. If I dug a tunnel under the fence it would be about 5yds.

As long as you remembered to make a right turn at Albuquerque!

3’6" unless I’ve parked the car in the way then it jumps to 60’. can be horrendous if you don’t time it right and the robins are chelping in the tree for a feeding.

just under 2 miles.
nice 10 min on the bicycle.

Depends on agency. usually 7 miles each way .15 -20 minutes in day 10 at night.
or a mile
or 25 each way (Fradley :frowning:)
or 12 or 17
just depends on work
Told agency rather not do Fradley as it over 45 minutes with traffic even at night.

My last job was 587 mile each way but I was away for three weeks, Elgin to Colchester with paid miles.

About sixty miles each way 90 mins from home to work and about 3 hours on a Friday afternoon to get home once a fortnight ain’t too bad

47miles each way used to be guaranteed to be away all week but since our transport dept got taken over they send us home to save nite out money and expect us to have 9 off , don’t think so somehow !

18 mile each way so 36 mile a week i m happy

100 mile round trip daily, been doing it for over 20 years…hate to think what I’ve spent on fuel!

when im back in the UK i travel rtn 174 miles every day but it has its advantages stunning views along the coast road between Honiton and Bridport A35 some of the joys of being in the Marines.

About 10 miles a day…

Normally my truck is parked in the driveway but during the winter its in the yard which is 4 minutes drive down the road. Commuting is a real pet hate of mine, I absolutely detest it. I dont mind driving 3000km a week in the UK or 6000km a week in north America in a truck, but any more than 10 minutes in the car drives me crazy.

Furthest I had to commute was 36 miles. (Calne to Membury) Wasn’t that bad when I had nights out, or if I managed to blag a company car or van, or blag taking the wagon home.
Going to work was usually ok. Coming home was often quite busy. Especially if someone decided to take a fully comprehensive excursion through the scenery.

8wheels:
5 miles each way 10 mins in the car.

25 mins to work on my bike, 20 mins home.

(I work at the top of a big hill!)

This is the same as me, although I don’t work at the top of a big hill, it’s the cold beer in the fridge that’s knocks my journey home time down :grimacing:

12 mile by the A road, 20 mile by the motorway.
This is each way.

Takes around half an hour either way due to stupid traffic lights everywhere.

Takes a little longer - upto 2hrs - to get home if United or City are at home due to my finishing time being the same as kicking out time :imp:

62 mile round trip every day 5 ,6 days a week
