In summer time it was about 1minute across the field but winter was a pain it was 5 minute walk around the road
892 miles quickest route to drive,Bristol to Glostrup Denmark,but truck based in broughton gifford when i was at home about 17 miles door to door 
from my house to work and back is 226 miles and i do this every night.
25miles one way, takes me about 20mins, 25 if take it steady. Im away all week but sometimes do end up at the yard during the week in which case unless i’ve got a good amount of time off i just stay in the yard.

if i fall out of bed i land in the depot , so not far
8 miles Wednesday Morning to work and 8 miles home Sunday afternoon, I wouldnt travel far, I dont need to , I am in demand. HTH. 
dar1976, i run a old audi a4 tdi ,no point in buying anything new when i’m clocking up about 35000 miles a year.
280 mile round trip. Tramping so it isn’t too bad. When I moved (moved house for family reasons, and i love the area) I decided I actually quite like my job 99% of the time so I just haven’t bothered to look down here.
Also handy that the gaffer tries to “weekend” the truck with a reload on Monday am down this way when they can, but to be fair he always checks that I don’t need my car that weekend/the wife has her car available etc.
half hour drive.
40 mile round trip takes me half hour each way 5 times a week.
