Welcome and WELL DONE darr686
Did you find that driving C for a while helped you with your CE ?

Second (failed) He failed me for block gear changing

  • odd :exclamation: I thought they liked you to block change :open_mouth:

Yo,

Congrats on passing your C+E, 3rd time lucky hey!
You say that this was your 3rd and Final attempt…does that mean someone else was putting you through the course or did you only have enough bucks for 3 goes??
If you knew that was gonna be your last attempt at it then that must of piled more pressure on you!?

Still, Congratulations noneoftheless!!!

Second (failed) He failed me for block gear changing

  • odd :exclamation: I thought they liked you to block change :open_mouth:

After the test i questioned the examiner on this he said that i had to drive
the vehicle as if it was fully loaded

i then told my instuctor who brought it to the attention of another examiner
he said that he would talk to him as i must have misherd

later he came back and said he felt i had not been given a fare test and that
i was right to block change as it was the way i had been taught

he said he would take matter futher as there was no minors on my sheet just
the 3 or 4 (?) for the gear changes

but as far as i was concerned i wasnt going to sit another test (cost)

Hi Richard

I was booked with clearstone but i didnt take the pass plus option so when i
sat my test a seconde time it was more money

about a month after my seconde attempt the contacted me to say that the
complaint had been investagated and would grant me a one day refresh
course and next day eary morning test

as for presure it was the opposet am happy driving my class 2 and hadnt
given class 1 any more thought so just looked at it as 2 days of work and
a shot in a truck lol as it turnes out this worked to my advantage as on the day
i just drove the truck and didnt put to much thought into it

i know it sounds daft but i think this it was made me look confident and
relaxed behind the wheel basicaly my attitude was diffrent compared to
my first 2 attemps

 i hope that makes scense

well done darr686 :stuck_out_tongue: :sunglasses:

congrats and well done for standing up to them and getting a retest

Thanks mr jinx & Reef

well on wednesday a got my first shot in the artic (company only has 1)

nice and simple run from Glasgow to Rotherham taking a load down then
bringing a load back

TM said its a good way to get use to the size of the vehicle without worrying
to much about corners

the run whent fine and smooth except when parking for the night … my TM
said i would make it to scotch corner which i did but i parked between the 2
stops he told me about (in layby off scotch corner hotel roundabout â– â– ?) but i
will remeber for next time

was strugelling (spl) with the low gears seemed very diffrent to my trainer truck
but am slowly picking it up

same goes for reversing but am confident al get used to it lol (no option)

Today i was out in eastkilbride and stirling all whent well again but was very
very diffrent to my usual drops in rigid :open_mouth:

all i can say is its amazine … i have wanted to do this since i was 12 am now 27
and finaly doing it lol

anyway heres some pics of my rig never herd of it before so would like to here
some comments good and bad of course a luv it just now as its my first
artic lol

sorry for the long post just luvin my job just now lol … Thanks for looking

Well done
