GERMANY TRIP

Hi please could any of you good folks out there tell me about the german tolling system,I have to go to a place called Freiburg with a 18 ton rigid from cornwall, which would be the best way for me and how much would it cost me in Germany, how do i obtain the tickets etc and where, many thanks

If it were me I would probably opt for France or maybe better still Luxembourg to Colmar and stay away from the MAUT as long as you can.

Pete will be along soon with a ready reckoner. you just need a fuel card or a handful of cash

Well Freiburg as many have said FROM THE DOCKS via Lux
and then down through France to Strasborg/Kehl to
appenweier down the A5to Freiburg
go on to this site HERE
You will need a fuel card like DKV;UTA; SHELL; bankers card, or cash,
the cost of the maut will be based on your euro engine standard
plus how many axles your lorry has, from the docks if going through
Belgian, Luxemburg, you will need a euro vingette, you get this from
places shown on this SITE
make sure that you go and read through the euro sticky and the sticky about documents some where near the top of this forum, any more questions just ask as lots of people here will give you a helping hand

Some one is all ways adding to the stickys; and it is a help ;
even for us so called O.A.P.s with a HGV blackbook,YES
just think how much the use of the WWW has helped to make
this job better with every one from tom ■■■■ and harry
helping with their little bits of information, this site
is a mine of information and news plus exciting
storys and pictures, and helps to make the job
easier to do,So YES PLEASE DO READ THE STICKYS
they are there for all of us to read and use,
