Genuine advice needed

Thanks for the advice…Set Now with another haulier…

Welcome user 44

Hope your new venture goes ok for you. I drove for one of the Callant brothers for a while, but it was never the best job in Zeebrugge.

Looking through your post from the bottom. I agree with your comments about using these agents!!! to get an O licence. The TC tends to take a dim view of these people. they have nothing to lose, they cannot control how a business is being run or even control a drivers hours.

Some of them will only ever visit your premises once if ever. I would just go for your cpc and it sounds as though you have more experience than most.

As for your ferry accounts, you will never get a good deal as an owner driver with P&O or the Eurotunnel, it all works on discounts and amount of traffic as well a financial standing.

You could try Harbour Shipping http://www.harbourshipping.co.uk/index.asp ot Transasia Spedition. http://www.transasiaspedition.com/eng/firma.htm

The other way is to go for traction only work with one of the larger operators who will allow you to use the company account to ship your own trailer and load.

As for a list of companies to avoid with a very long barge pole, it would take so long to write and is probably unethical to do on a public forum.

one mans meat is someone elses discarded grissle :stuck_out_tongue:

How about talking to LC Forwarding, they know you and you know how they work with NSE.

Oh and change your bank :stuck_out_tongue: Lloyds TSB and me are very much at loggerheads at the moment  whgen they say “but but but”, It sounds like they are making excuses…

Thanks Mal
Could you suggest any Reefer (Fridge) operators that have a good reputation for both decent rate and paying on time…I have a need to be in Paris on a regular basis and Rungis is close enough…Thanks again…Paul
