Full Time Class 1 :) :) :)

Hope it all goes well Dean. All the best, Pete

Good luck tommorrow Dean. Hope it all goes well.

Well done dar, I know this means alot to you. Time to write a new chapter

Hopefully you’re now asleep, Dean, but all the best for your first day tomorrow. I know you have been wanting full time CE work since you passed and only went on the buses because it was the best you could get at that time.

In time, I hope you can establish yourself in this job and put down roots in the area, rather than staying in a hotel. First things first, though - getting that first day out of the way.

I would say good luck with the job mate but you don’t need it , you need more luck staying in travelodge redditch urgh shudders

Thanks for all the support guys and girls.

T/L at Redditch isn’t so bad. I have stayed in worse.

Have had some sleep and woken with the day in hand on my mind.

Just hoping it all goes to plan without a hitch.

I’ve been hoping that since my pass day mate! Hasn’t happened yet. But what you can hope for is that the good days outweigh the bad. We’re all only human and as the famous saying goes “■■■■ happens”

A bit late, but hope all goes well for ya

First day has been quite interesting.

Getting to know the lads and lasses round the yard.

Spent the day with a RoRo 8wheeler skip truck.

Btw Sam I now know how you feel driving up to the top of the landfill to tip. Been there. Glad of 6 wheel drive lol.

Out tomorrow on the 8 wheel Front End Loader to Southampton to pick up the recycling bins and throw the contents into the back.

Looks like I have made a good impression as there is talk of putting me out on the Walking Floor Artics soon.

Didn’t expect to be in one today and glad I had been eased into it.

Still looking forward to the coming weeks.

I’m going to retire to my LHD Scania T-Cab for the night as have an early start.

Pics to follow soon.

Sleep well - I expect you’re tired after a demanding day, though you understandably seem rather excited which may make sleeping difficult.

I’m sure I’m not the only one looking forward to them!

Glad to hear it went ok, look forward to the pics

Yeah it’s not the most pleasant lol! Glad you’ve had a good day Dean, lucky you being put on the walking floors, that’s what I want to do, like the ADT or Jenkinson ones.

It’s best you get this experience in anyway it’s a good move putting you on roro as artic walking floors with some of the places your expected to load and tip is a whole new ball game and quite an experience! I actually miss that part of the recycling industry, gives you a great sense of achievement and also a lot of skills you would not pick up on a motorway trunk

Glad your first day went well Dean , what is it your doing , i dont know what a roro is ■■ great oppertunity for you to teach us newbies something , if you get a chance would dearly love to hear what your actually doing with some pics as may help some of us if we ever get on this kinda work ?

hope your having another good day

all the best
