I reported a derv theft and 2 hours later was phoned and asked if i needed counseling.
my reply cannot be repeated on here. but police/vosa/hato are a total waste of space
lose them and get back to highway patrol by real cops.

And where was you when this happened?

tilbury lost 350 ltrs of derv
where were you then and if “not your area” where were the plods whos area it was
sorry mate your a total waste of space
no thump
nor esponsobilities
no problem
just dont get on me when im on hard shoulder, leave me alone :unamused:

Why is this the fault of the police, if a driver is stupid enough to fill up there fuel tank just before they park up for the night in a dodgy area.

Why is this the fault of the police,…

Everything is the fault of the police, it’s the law.

People moan when the police don’t do anything, and yet when one comes on here and trys to offer some advice, he gets shot down in flames.
It’s all very well moaning about parking fines/speeding tickets/tickets for no overnight lights etc etc, but, they are all offences so I can’t see the problem.
IMO, the police are totally over stretched, and when they do nick the scumbags, the courts just let them go.

I must admit, I would rather have police officers on the streets, not PCSO’s, however, we have pcso’s come into our bus garage once a week and they are very polite and helpful, if we have a problem on a particular route, they will start to patrol that route.
From some of the comments on here, is it any wonder the if the police have little respect for drivers?

Be fair, the guys only trying to help.

It is also police’s fault for not having secure parking    as stated in other post’s

well applaud mickyblue for being on here and standing up to the flack.

although mick your wasteing your time, if drivers are so thick that they park behinds a trailer that says " dont park here theft hotspot " you cant help them, and to be fair if i was a copper and somebody phoned me and told thier fuel had been stolen and they were parked in a an advertised fuel theft hotspot i would laugh and put the phone down as well.

im not against the police at all, they are a very stretched restricted force doing the best they can. they have divisions i.e cid, pcso, plod, traffic cops etc… i shouldnt imagine a traffic cop investigating a burglary and i should imagine cid investigating a motor accident.

as for mickyblue being a pcso, having a go at him for being a pcso is just plain daft and childish. he out there trying to the best he can with his hands tied behind his back, but if thats the way to get into the force these days and that something he wants to do then i for one applaud his commitment.

joemaxi went into the force the same way and now mick is doing the same. good for them.

GAYBY’S… i try and park at wansford as much as possible, i dont get parking paid at all so i have find somewhere free, wansford is a really nice place next to the river, people walking thier dogs, after a while normal public go home and perv’s come out… again thats up them its not something im interested in but it’s a safe as far as i know parking area. constant activity cars milling around but shut your curtains lock your doors and you will be fine. ive never had any trouble at all parking in gayby’s no fuel thefts or curtains slashing. i would have thought the basic trick to stealing fuel or goods is get in and out as quick and quietly as possible with out being seen. another thought i have is… all the benders in peterboro know to head to wansford, if there was fuel thefts or curtain slashing going on there their would be increased police activity which would put a stop to the bumming, so yes i think they would do something about it.

IF YOU PARK ON A LAYBY BESIDE THE A1 ANYWHERE ON IT YOU WILL GET YOUR FUEL STOLEN!!!

IF YOU PARK IN A COACH BAY IN THE SERVICES YOU WILL GET A TICKET OR CLAMPED.

plan your journey, nearly all seasoned trampers and drivers doing nights out know around the country little nooks and craneys to get parked.

Another post that i couldn’t have worded any better.

As stated, I posted a topic to give advice but knew that a few would take it as a chance to bash me with all the anti police comments, which is what i get on a daily basis, which is there opinion.

But what did make me laugh my back side of is that i have been on this site since 2009 and last night i got told i am trolling the site       bit late for that

Come in guys;Mickeyblue is doing us a favour and letting us know about this problem. He didn’t have to come on and mention anything, but he did,and I for one am grateful. Cheers Mickey

idiots do everynight and then wonder why their tanks are dry the next morning.

Well they would not get much sleep parked there thats for sure

Then there is allways Peterborough services
but they charge 25 quid a night and the showers are crap

Whilst speaking to the drivers about the thefts it shocked me with the stories they told me about being gassed, and waking up to having baseball bats to there heads, it shocked me that they still do that job.

Being gassed is a myth, allegadly. to cover up a cover up, allegadly.

I,ve never understood why drivers park in lay bys anyway, no facilities, no proper sleep, and mostly filthy, it should be illegal on H&S grounds, then proper parks would have to be provided. I can just about count on one hand how many lay-bys I,ve overnight parked in 30yrs of driving.

a owner driver that subs to the company that i work for has had his tank drained twice in 5 weeks in sunbury on thames but they have never touched are trucks the only thing different is are trucks are sign writen up

Where do you sleep then?
MSA’s and services are a ■■■■ sight worse and they charge you for it so I cant work out where else you would park unless you stay at home every night.

Mickey you are an embarrassment  to any police force, you remind me a bit of the village idiot :unamused:

Some of the crap you come out with is unreal and very funny lol,

mickyblue:
I patrol a little bit of the A47 and the A1 near to Peterborough as it is on my beat area

Anybody looking in would think you were an ARV traffic cop

mickyblue:
I have been doing my bit with parking up in my motor and giving words of advice about where to park in this area and also letting drivers know with whats been going on.

Would that be in your little fiesta on the way home?

Some of the stuff you come out with really worries me if that’s what the cops of the future are made off.
You just come across as a guy with not much street sense, aka Not switched on!!

my opinoin only.

At the end of the day you are a plastic pig and not a police constable,so maybe you would be better off hanging round the local shopping arcades moving on unruly kids

Why’s that? what makes you think i am an idiot?

Nope, it is part of my route that i take and also patrol to get to two of my villages i cover

I am very switched on and very street wise thank you

Correct i am not a PC. PCSO is a DIFFERENT ROLE and it isn’t all about dealing with the little muppets who give it large.

I will state this again. I started a topic giving advice and so far many of you guys are chucking it back in my face. Now, there will be a topic soon “I had my bloody fuel nicked near Peterborough”. I will then reply along with many others who will quote this topic and say, i told you so!

Now can i ask you something?

Why did you spend your time writing a reply like that. not that i am fussed about it, when clearly the topic is aimed at the drivers giving advice?

Anyway have a good one

hey lads he is only offerering some advice to us he obviously knows somthing about the area i dont think he had any bad intentions lighten up :sunglasses:
