how many of them have rang you
I am hoping your just having a laugh?
Pink- brigade is a pee take
As you implied Micky alot of your post flew above there heads…If they can’t accept a bit of ‘heads up’ then that is there lookout, just wish someone could of told me about the lay-by on the A3… I now know not to park there… unless you want to lose some diesel…

It happens all over the UK and will carry on happening. When the fuel is taken it takes matter of minutes to take.
Like your yard though, unless there are alarms and CCTV they can take as long as they like and due to it being out in the middle of nowhere it will be by luck if a passerby will phone it in or a passing patrol car will notice
Harry Monk:
Micky, to say “Don’t park near Doncaster, it isn’t safe” is like saying “Don’t live near Doncaster, it isn’t safe”.You are the Police and we pay you to make things safe, so crack on and do that, eh?
That makes me self employed then harry as i am also a tax payer
Micky I,m not gonna jump on the bandwagon and have a pop at you because at least you are, in your own way, trying to address the problem of fuel theft in your area,… not nearly enough but at least it,s a start. A lot of comments on here about Police apathy concerning truck crime I have to agree with, if the Police are aware of fuel theft in a certain area why are they not actually concentrating on eradicating the problem instead of just warning drivers about it. A couple of years ago an ind est near Knottingley had the same problem, what did the Police do? they sorted the problem,… the only thing is they sorted it by issuing parking tickets on trucks for parking without lights ie. no overnight parkers no fuel thefts, this is the sort of thing that causes a lot of anti-Police feeling from drivers, and a lot of it is brought on by examples of ■■■■ poor policing such as this.

Im now starting to understand the logic to this ant polcie thing on this thread
the pink brigade thing where gay boyes are suppoed to be the policing the laybys dose not happen
Maybe if we had a hot spot thing on this site like the ‘tuckstop net’ guide would help

Most of the old bill round my way look like they play who can eat the most doughnuts at the wild bean cafe.
To be fair, that sounds quite a decent game to play.

I don’t agree to the ticket jobbie. Thats a bad way to tackle the problem.
I know i am just having a ‘Chat’ to the drivers about it but i do have other things in place to use if you catch my drift.
You do have a point though
Well done MB for at least trying to offer some advice. Pity some of the brain dead morons on this forum don’t seem to get it. Here is a bloke trying to make a difference and being shot down in flames. If he was the crap copper that some are saying he is, he wouldn’t be saying anything, just thinking"[zb]" e’m, let them get their fuel nicked, they’re just idiot truckers."
That doesn’t appear to be the case.
I know the police are far from perfect, but he’s damned if he does, damned if he doesn’t.
To MB: thanks for giving a ■■■■.
It’s not mickeyblue’s fault that the police are a bunch of useless halfwits, he’s just following the crowd.

Even though the gay community attend that location it also provides security if you catch what i am sayingthese kind of laybys attract the lowest of the low (I mean scum)
And from what I have sen I dont think they would batter an eye lid if they saw someone doing something they should not
As they should not be doing what they are doing in the first placeYou are missing the point. These lay-bys are never quiet during the night so it gives the fuel theives less opportunity to quietly nick fuel so they move to another lay-by with less activity.
There were a couple of parking areas I frequently stopped at in Belgium that were very safe to park in thanks to what I called the Pink Security Force. Never any problems with thefts from trucks in those lay-bys despite Belgium being one of the the worst countries in Europe for thefts from trucks, worse than Italy.
Couldn’t of worded it any better.
I think some people have missed the point i was making

The poor bloke comes on here to give some sound advice which he hopes will help some of you and gets crucified for it ffs grow up and stop having a go at him when all he is trying to do is help a couple of you, as said before on this thread he could just as easily sit back and say nowt .
And as Coffee says using the pink security company in Belgium is sound advice and it does work and has done for years, works in France as well

could you post where we can “safely” park then which would be obviously patrolled by you and police
We all know derv is being nicked by our traveller friendsNO ONE WANTS US IN TOWNS ETC
WE ARE A THING LESS THAN ■■■■■■
Back in the 60s/70s towns had a lorry park
so if you want us to be safe
GO ****ING ask the towns who want their shops to be full to provide a lorry park thats safe
SIMPLES OR WHAT
How many guys/gals dissagree![]()
Sorry mate, I have posted in my post where it is safe to park
ok im near oxford ,wheres that safe to park on a34
If you re-read my post again! i have stated where i knock about. So if you are in Oxford it is down to you where you park and where you feel it is safe, or better get in touch with the local officer. As i tell the drivers when i speak to them, which is at the time there hours are coming up, i warn them about whats been going on and also give them my details. some of them move on to another parking area but on the A1 it is very limited.
It is down to the driver to plan ahead really
Oh dear you dropped one there Micky! I was with you until that point…but thanks for trying!

Oh bugger i hope it didn’t smell
well applaud mickyblue for being on here and standing up to the flack.
although mick your wasteing your time, if drivers are so thick that they park behinds a trailer that says " dont park here theft hotspot " you cant help them, and to be fair if i was a copper and somebody phoned me and told thier fuel had been stolen and they were parked in a an advertised fuel theft hotspot i would laugh and put the phone down as well.
im not against the police at all, they are a very stretched restricted force doing the best they can. they have divisions i.e cid, pcso, plod, traffic cops etc… i shouldnt imagine a traffic cop investigating a burglary and i should imagine cid investigating a motor accident.
as for mickyblue being a pcso, having a go at him for being a pcso is just plain daft and childish. he out there trying to the best he can with his hands tied behind his back, but if thats the way to get into the force these days and that something he wants to do then i for one applaud his commitment.
joemaxi went into the force the same way and now mick is doing the same. good for them.
GAYBY’S… i try and park at wansford as much as possible, i dont get parking paid at all so i have find somewhere free, wansford is a really nice place next to the river, people walking thier dogs, after a while normal public go home and perv’s come out… again thats up them its not something im interested in but it’s a safe as far as i know parking area. constant activity cars milling around but shut your curtains lock your doors and you will be fine. ive never had any trouble at all parking in gayby’s no fuel thefts or curtains slashing. i would have thought the basic trick to stealing fuel or goods is get in and out as quick and quietly as possible with out being seen. another thought i have is… all the benders in peterboro know to head to wansford, if there was fuel thefts or curtain slashing going on there their would be increased police activity which would put a stop to the bumming, so yes i think they would do something about it.
IF YOU PARK ON A LAYBY BESIDE THE A1 ANYWHERE ON IT YOU WILL GET YOUR FUEL STOLEN!!!
IF YOU PARK IN A COACH BAY IN THE SERVICES YOU WILL GET A TICKET OR CLAMPED.
plan your journey, nearly all seasoned trampers and drivers doing nights out know around the country little nooks and craneys to get parked.

Again missing the point. They don’t ring the police, they don’t want them there any more than the fuel thieves do, but their constant presence means the people who have nefarious designs on the trucks take their business elsewhere. For instance it could well be that one of the Pink Security Force is an off duty copper and he might just note their reg number for future use.
I’ve been suggesting using that sort of lay-by as a security measure for years on here.

Good to see the Police have finally caught on to the idea. Always happy to help the men in blue.
The bloke is offering some friendly advice.
Whatever problems you have with the Police isn’t his fault, he is just trying to help.
Cant stand that little ■■■■ Angus Nairn though.
