Fridges...who, what, and where?

Now I’ve got the room, I want a decent compressor type fridge :sunglasses: to go in the truck. I had a look on the Roadpro site and they seem to start a £500+ :open_mouth:
Who’s got what
is it any good
where did you get it
and how much was it
Also, do you leave it running over your w/end off when the truck is parked

Depends how big your cab is mate, over here we just use regular small fridges, usually run off a big inverter. But since most trucks here are run 24/7 it doesn’t matter, over there, you get peace at night…

IF you go across the water in GERMANY you may find it cheaper

and a bigger selection, In geisielwind truckstop (BAB3) They cost

about 400 euros and more also the fridges run 12/24 VOLT

automaticly .

Funny thing that, I priced up small domestic fridge from currys that would fit under the bunk at £89.99, plus an inverter at £54.00.
The fridge is rated at 106 kwh/year Annual Energy Consumption, is anybody any good at working out what the consumption in amps per hour would be, I hav’n’t a clue :unamused:
