fridge washing

I’ve recently been doing a bit of fridge work for a change.
After i’ve delivered i will ask to use the wash to swill out the trailer, most of the time they refuse.
Should they have a duty to clean the fridge?
After all it’s there product that’s made the mess.

ive been doing fridge work for years mainly hanging and everywhere i go
i have to pay to get it cleaned it seem to be the norm

I suppose it is a similar thing to being on the tankers, many companies would not even let you drain a flex on site never mind put water down the drains. A lot of the cleaning stations were geared up for fridge trucks. Fridge drivers always had an advantage.

No one looks twice at a fridge in a blue elephant :stuck_out_tongue:

We must have been lucky where i used to work. most of the places we took hanging too used to let us wash out, maybe it was because it was own account work. boss must have had a word when selling meat. And we would back load out of many of them aswell.

I’ve never had a problem either apart from the places where it was obvious you couldn’t (mainly small pokey places). Hanging meat is the worst for leaving rubbish on the floor and it gets trod in too.
