FODEN S20

Cant stop now !

To replace my Beaver I bought a 1962 Foden swb 8 wheel tanker.
Now this wagon I loved! I painted it from front to back with a 2 inch brush, work of art.

Ran it for ages, Gardener 150, get ready… 4 speed gearbox, but it had 2 reverse gears, God knows what that was all about,
but I was young and didnt give a toss, so it didnt matter.

It never ever had a glass in the drivers door all the time I had it.

I lived in Liverpool and used to parkit outside my Parents terraced house, nobody ever complained and the kiuds in the street treated it as Alton Towers. However, they did look at me funny when I had no starter motor for 3 months and used to push start it every morning!
It was a slight hill once you got it rolling, not as hard you think.

It didnt even have power steering!..still,I loved the beast.and if you needed to hang your coat up, just knock a nail in.
The cab was made of wood and aluminium, very eco friendly.
But I loved it.

once again

A couple here I found in my magazines.
