FH13 Trailer ABS

Having a problem with Constant Power supply for trailer ABS on 08 FH 13. The fuse for the constant supply, no. 25 keeps blowing. Seems to be a dead short. Anyone else had this problem , any solutions?? I have disconected all suzzies to try and isolate the problem but to no avail.

If it’s still blowing fuses when the suzie is disconnected, dismantle the socket on the t/unit and try a new fuse again. Problems are normally in the suzie or the socket.
If still blowing fuses follow the conduit the ebs socket wires backwards to the main loom and check for rubbing/damage. Other than that I can’t help, never seen a problem with abs trailer supply on an fh other than above.

Tks Coiler, have disconnected the suzzies down to the connection point behind the engine and still blowing fuses, will try dismantling that plug to see if there is a problem in it

Probably nothing to do with ABS.As it is a constant live without ignition its also used for other constant live circuits eg immobiliser, dropper unit, central locking etc,on Mercedes its used for the heated seats.
The wire gets nipped in the seat frame and blows the abs fuse.■■■■■ to find if you dont know about it.

It’s the constant live supplying trailer ABS. Everything else is working with the fuse blown. But you are right it could be a ■■■■■ to find !

If everything else works just do away with the feed. All it does is power the dump solenoids in the abs module via pin 1 on the iso plug.Run a feed from the starter terminal to pin 1 on the feed socket and cut the original wire off.Put an inline 30 amp fuse in to protect it.

The electronic control valve and sensing (the black and the white at pin 2 and 5 are powerd up by the abs ecu and 3 is ground for the electronic control valve and 4 is the ground for the dump solenoids.6 and 7 are can data signals.

If the wiring for the constant feed has rubbed through somewhere and is shorting it dont matter as once the fuse blows it will just be a dead circuit and the abs solenoids will be powerd by the new link wire.

Stripped wire found drivers side in loom at point where cab hinges. Thanks for the input
