It was a one off.
Plenty of us around, only one at my place, me, funnily enough, three at Fowlers Hilsea. They say 5 % across the industry but I think that’s growing already. I’ve seen a couple running tippers Penfolds was one, can’t remember the other. Mothertruckers exists as a Facebook group of lady truckers.
It can be difficult, I’m a chatter and I will start a convo in a waiting room at an rdc. It doesn’t mean
I’m looking for a bloke, just like to pass the time and be sociable.
I frequently get offers from international drivers to double man / join them for a holiday etc. I just smile and say I’m spoken for.
I feel sorry for the lass mentioned who keeps resorting to saying what she’s cooking for her man. Take the hint and turn down the erm, charms!
I’ve taught ADR to 14-15 ladies over the years, they’re certainly out there.

And only really called “mothertruckers” so CH4 could shoe horn the title in at every oppertunity to sound like they were swearing but not really.

There are two women drivers where I work, was three but one has left. They work part time but then so do some of the men apart from that they do the same work as the men and probably in many cases do a better job.

Tried this but spent the night in A & E as my eyes popped out.
Ironic really as I was hoping for an evening in C & A.
Edit: apologies to the ladies viewing its possible this post could be missconstrued, I meant I was hoping to go shopping on the evening.
This thread has given me an idea.
There is only 1 woman driver where I work me I do the same as the lads ( ok not atm due to injury ) but getting better by the day

I occasionally share a delivery slot with a nice lady working for British Oxygen.Due to the nature of the site,she has to block me in for 20 mins or so whilst she’s discharging her load 
At least she has the courtesy to ask me first,unlike most of the bloke scrotes who just carry on regardless 
We have a regular agency lass in she’s as good as anyone else pulls her weight and above all don’t cut the job up.

diesel Kate was doing the job before electric windows,yes Tomdho windows haven’t always gone up with electrical assist, shocking isn’t it expect
you’d find winding a window up a Health N Safety issue,only one hand to steer with,dangerous.

See the odd one here and there. We’ve got one at our depot, she has a really bad reputation for not reporting damage. Nice enough girl but she does get all the cream jobs, the office does treat her differently. Don’t really bother me that much though.There is a women that works for SNT and she is stunning, I’d love to double man with her alright

I live on the island , Norfolk ! It’s in the far East ! Last Agency work I had to get through !! I bumped into a lady driver , she parked up next to myself , put her break on as I had earlier , and introduced herself as ! Tracy ! A blonde born around the 70s era , been driving a couple of years ! Very nice women , to add , I have spotted other ,lady women Girl , drivers around our island ! Perhaps they just stick to the sticks ?
