I’m a female driver now for the past year and wish I’d gotten in to it sooner. I really like the job (except the early mornings! ). just getting my expercience now and building my confidence in a class one.

If you come across this one, tell to get home to make her man’s dinner.
What’s always puzzled me with that truck is how fat did BL think the pope was that he needed a 3 axle chassis?
When I was sparkying, there was a girl in the office who went off and did her HGV, and worked for halls transport in Ely. Haven’t seen her since she left the office, but don’t see why she wouldn’t have been a good driver, she was very blokish in her attitude to life in general

It was the heavy duty armoured plating that necessitated the 3 axles. The glass was bulletproof and about 3" thick. It was designed to withstand RPG’s. OK, it might have been over-engineered but it was the biggest and most secure of all the popemobiles.

This sort of stuff always confuses me. I mean why do our religious leaders need such protection. Surely if they believed half the crap they come out with then death is the fastest route to their promised land.
Just sayin really not wishin to turn this thread into a religious debate as im still banned from Popenet for pointing out that Jesus would have to be black for any of their arguments on the excistence of the nazarene to be valid.

Out in Australia, when it comes to driving massive dumpers in the mining sector there is a high percentage who are ladies.
The bosses reckon that they are better at doing pre-startup checks and are less reckless during the day/night. It’s pretty tough work but the money is good - whether you are male or female.
