I always think a test of a good livery is when it looks good applied to any vehicle (and trailer).

I’ve trawled these from the net and TN, so apologies for inconsistent quality and to anyone if copyright is an issue. I’ll put my thinking cap on and try and think of a few more.

traditional hand painted like all there trucks past and present.superb livery and colourscheme in my opinion. i hd the pleasure of seeing the signwriter do this livery a few times, nd it was really impressive

Here is an old one, the firm is still running. This was my first truck on my first driving job.

and this was my second truck.

Its all very boring now, white trucks everywhere, no character…
Then a few years later I was running with this well known livery.

I liked the liverie of the trucks i used to drive for Elstran the black ones had the gold pinlining and the blue and silver used to look great even the blue maersk contract motors looked good with the white bits picked out black ones were a bustard to keep clean he had a knack of making a turd look good the time he put all his furniture on it .
ps.sorry Ken

Hi Bill we never had black in the early days we had a very light blue what the transons came home in we had a scania and f88 and 89 in those colours to.
The black only carried on because he got a F12 like that and liked it it was never planned like that and as for the blue and silver like van bentems
he had that in 1988 on the f plate for the MCC Mercantile contract Bill check your pm

I’ve got to take issue with you here “GS” as IMO there’s nothing class about these two CT motors as apart from being ■■■■ up,the sheets look crap and as for that trailer behind the Marathon!!! it looks like it was built by a Blacksmith!,12 wheels on the trailer----I bet it laid some rubber down on every roundabout it went round! Sorry but thats my opinion right or wrong.Cheers Bewick.

Three large creases on the side sheeting Dennis tut tut  .

Just hang about “Renegade”!!! I’ve switched the iron on and I’ll be across the yard from my office in a minute,if you point out the offending creases that is!! Dennis.

Change your glasses Dennis, two in front of the first axle on the trailer, and one behind the second, plus a small one above that 7.5/out of 10.
Cheers Dave.
