Thank you for your P.M.
What about a Pint of Timothy Taylors ?, or better still Theakstons ?
I shall try to get a few photos for you of Steve and Dave in their new surroundings. Dave as usual will probably be a pair of feet sticking out from under a Truck or Trailer. Steve will be in his NEW Office wearing his Visachi designer Jacket. But joking aside, since moving the main operation (there are still six lorries running from Malton. All the old hands) they have got theirselves right back on form, a whole lot of ex Graylease DAFâs, two more came last week. I love doing weekends for them, especially now they have seen the light and got DAFâs all the Scanias have gone and the Volvos will just fade away. Most of the trucks are now white instead of blue. Some good regular work. They have just aquired a new piece of land, bought a Toplifter and will start lifting and storeing Containers. Drivers up there are fighting to get on with them, all on a four day rolling week now. I shall of course pass on your regards to them both. ( and the lads at Malton.) I was sorry to hear about JD. Itâs never good to hear these things is it. One more reason to live life more fully, eh ?
Cheers, Archie.

A couple of pages from Alan Spillets fantastic Roadscapes for the appreciation society on here. Hope he doesnât mind.
Old67 have you seen Roadscapes Ripponden & Disrict Albion? Or Albion Jackâs poem âThe District led the wayâ?
Hi Jim .Jack is a good mate of mine, worked with him for a over 30 years at Ripponden, and I go over to Lancashire to see him about once a month.I have a folder full of his poems etc.Ive got a couple of framed prints of paintings of Ripponden Albions done by P.J.Davies.
Seeing as this is the "liveries"thread, how about this, taken in 1966,just after our workshop had converted it from a flat which we used to collect from Shell Oils in Trafford Park.
Did somebody mention this outfit?
Publicity shot
And finally have a look at Pauls site to see what could be achievedâŚjim

I always thought whoever designed the C&C livery had seen a truck when he was being sick, and to put a Steyr up front as well

Belive it or not Pat Blackburn brought a truck of the seddon stand withe the motor pannels sleeper cab on and liked the so much he changed his fleet colours to the same but al he changed was that it had a white roof.
Chris Hayterâs got a nice classic livery, combined with the immaculate condition of their lorries (especially the older ones).
A few more seen onthe Welsh Border.
