Whoa! there CG!! Youv’e got it all wrang Marra! ( as usual),What I was suggesting was the very fact that you have indicated you like the Bewick livery was, indeed,a vast improvement on the rubbish liveries contained in your first list! Now I would be the first to acknowledge that every haulier in the UK believes that their livery is the smartest/slickest/tidiest of all,bar none! Thats why I didn’t start blowing my own trumpet after receiving an accolade from one of the most knowledgeable transport gurus from about Fletchertown!!! Even though the Bewick livery was one of the finest of it’s time, well IMO,others will obviously have other well founded opinions to the contrary but ,of course,I am biased and therefore have no right to promote my own livery and really I am not!! This post is really just for CG’s consumption!!! Cheers Bewick.

Couple of my old drives which i thought (still think) look good
There’s been a few foreigners here, but not many, so here is my last steed
and a much earlier one
well, someone did say they preferred workhorses, not showstoppers.
As for favourites I never drove, I think Sayers of Newbury took some beating.
Hello Bewick,
Yes I had got it all wrong.

P.S What about Andersons Walking Floors of Scotland, they’ve got a great livery.
Suprised no one has mentioned A one Transports livery, concise but informative!
Here’s a few pic’s of one of my old motors from Trevor Ellis’s fleet. Pretty smart livery for a modern fleet imho.
Just an observation, the horse shoes are the wrong way up on the Scania! Cheers Bewick.

Correct Dennis, I was told off by my dad when I was a kid for nailing one on the shed door that way up, he said that my luck would run out if I didn’t change it. Cheers Haddy.

Now here’s a question that will give you a headache CG, is there ANY liveries that you don’t like marra? Going by that list you created and the outfits you named I think you’ll be hard pressed to come up with one! and you’d better not suggest John Irving’s livery as I ken John well and he will “punch your arse” if you dare eh! Cheers Bewick
Hello Bewick,
No, I like John Irvings Livery (I don’t want a punch up the arse!!!). I loved there old green livery.
If I had to name one livery that I didn’t like like, it would have to be the Wincanton livery. It’s depressing.

(P.S Bewick, if you know John Irving so well, can you answer me this queston: Why is Irvings only running one lorry now? Its only because they used to run 4 lorries not that long ago).
Hi ■■■■■■■■ gill, I have always thought that the old oil companies had the best liveries,if you look on sniffy oil companies you will see some of the best liveries, here is an old one i used to drive in scotland with a long gone company (matt).

Hiya Dennis…i was at the Llanduno show with my AEC earlier this year(to wich has a couple of horeshoes on the grill)
this chap came up to me and said looking at the reg on your truck(Rutland) you,ve put the horseshoes on upside
down…I said i thought that the opening should be at the top…he told me on the coat of arms of rutland the horseshoes was with the open part faceing down and all the luck Rutland had run out and was lost forever.
