What a genuinely nice bloke!!

As a kid I used to play with Terry Scotts children and was often round their house
Years ago, in the mid 80`s, I was delivering some stuff to Downing Street, that was when you could still actually drive up there, and as we were unloading, Mrs Thatcher turned up in her Jag.
We all stopped to look and as she got out she turned and came straight over to us and had a friendly relaxed chat for about 10 minutes. No political BS, no photo oppotunities, just a friendly “how are you doing” chat.
Seemed like a nice lady actually!!

Had a friendly chat with Prince Charles once when he was doing a private visit.

Well it’s one hell of a good act then.
I used to be the supervisor on the site security section at the Ford World Rally Team. Used to speak to Malcolm Wilson on a daily basis, also spoke regulary to Carlos Sainz, the late great Colin McCrae and Petter Solberg. Good lads to talk to. Colin nearly landed his helicopter on my car coming into land on the site!

Wim Jansen the ex manager of the other scumbags
thanks for the compliment …
did tell Paul Gasgoine " to put it away as seen a bigger 1 on a baby "
Saw the Spice Girls, all except Ginger, in Sedgemoor Services one night. That was when I was driving for Tesco so they would never have deigned to speak to me…
Edward Woodward and Michelle Dotrice were regulars in the Garden Centre where I worked for a time, and Andrew Ridgely came in a couple of times. Anyone remember Bob Carolgees (used to have Spit the Dog on Tiswas)? He is a nice guy but not much of a sales rep. I also met the bloke from Lock, Stock (the short one with all the tattoos) in the local pub. He got my goat so bad I went to another pub, then he got into a fight with someone there and took a bit of a hiding. Julie Peasgood, Lawrence Llewellyn Bowen… both nice people, very polite.
Barry Hearn, the boxing promoter, used to bring people into the local pub when his sister was landlady there, so I got to meet Elvis Costello and Steve Davis. Mr Costello shot his mouth off in Tintagel and had a skirmish there, too. Carol Decker (Tpau) who looked a lot better up close than from any distance. Always thought she looked like she had died and then been dug up before I met her, and that lady could really sing, too. They made a video locally and they were smokin’!
OK, so they aren’t exactly from trucking, but I am such a miserable jerk that I seldom pay any attention.
Delivered heating oil to Peter Purvis’ house (he was a Blue Peter presenter!),

Oh yeah and I let Kasabian’s Bass Guitarist go in front of me for a ■■■■ at Glastonbury, as they were then about to go on stage.
I can’t wait to see Euromat’s contribiution to this thread !! The poor bloke’s gonna need a week off to compile it
I have seen Russell Brand a few years ago in Northampton services, sat on a table next to sally traffic at truckfest and near the end of last year i saw the Queen going down the down the M40.
Also Stephen Graham (Tommy out of ■■■■■■) parked right next to me a few months back and i said hello to him in a club on a night out, he lives round my area.
