his poll was started AFTER you had called him a cowboy so he was trying to find out if anybody else felt the same way and guess what oddsodz you are still in a minority of 1

north surrey haulage:
i used the eurotunnel for the first time this year yesterday & they have put the price up for the fuel deal (a rate charged for solo units when going over the water to fill up)
what gnarls me is that there was no warning given to either myself or my driver & it has gone up by over 15 per cent (previously it was £65 each way now it is £76.40) when inflation is around 3 per cent.
this seems to be a trend with them as it was only £85 for a round trip just a couple of years ago.
could this be another example of a big corporation cashing in on smaller companies just trying to make a living?
You said you drove the truck, didnt employ drivers,
There cost have gone up thats why its dearer,
just to make a living thats where your argument falls down cus its exactly why you are moaning cus you are not

Unfair to get fuel at the same price as the rest of the European transport industry?
If people here [who you might consider as being colleagues] feel that it is unfair, then we have no chance.
IMHO, its one thing to get cheap diesel to increase your profit margin. Its something else to use cheap diesel to undercut the rates of another company on a job. Rates, and so wages, are more than low enough as it is, without cutting them to suit cheaper diesel.
Maybe its just me but I reckon the Eurotunnel can do the maths the same as us. If a tank hold 500 litres and the price difference is 30p (sterling) then thats £150 saving per tank full. If the truck is fitted with bigger, or twin, tanks then the saving is even greater.
It looks to me like they want a slice of your savings for themselves. That’s a shrewd business decision. The lack of notice is just plain stupid, careless or indifference (you decide). The Severn Bridge increase was notified for at least a month and maybe more.
