I was under the impression that if you are below the speed limit, and someone is hogging the middle lane, you are not breaking the law passing them on the inside? I may be mistaken but I thought this was the case.

Although lane hogging is now a ticketable offense, undertaking is still illegal.
If you haven’t changed lanes to do it, you are just making normal progress, and also making the person lane hogging look a ■■■■■

are you drivers or just new to the game and need to moan and groan about everyone elses driving ? get on with the jobthread after thread on here these days is from noob drivers armed with there new cameras trying to make out other drivers are worse than them
you sound like a bunch of old women.
Put your head in the sand by all means.
But then don’t be surprised when your wages drop because your bosses believe any idiot can drive a truck
sadly any idiot can drive a truck these days stick it into auto and away you go, so long as they have a dcpc card there more than good enough they might not have a clue but what does that matter, you will problerly find the guy everyone is moaning about will have dcpc and will not even know he can not use the outside lane

I once had two trucks tailgate me on the M25 when I was driving my car - first one an 18-tonner, second a 32-tonne tipper. Both flashed their lights at me to tell me to get out of the way (I was in the middle lane, doing 50mph through roadworks). I put my hazards on to tell the jerks to back off. The first overtook me on the left,If the lorry was able to undertake why the [zb] weren’t you in the nearside lane?
Lane discipline in roadworks!!! “I’m doing the speed limit so nobody should be passing me.” [zb][zb]
^^ THIS!!! 100% This…
If a vehicle can under-take you, then you’re clearly in the wrong [zb] lane!!! Call yourself a driver
The inside lane (the lanes were narrow) had a lot of slow-moving vehicles, including trucks, in it. The middle lane was clear, which is why I was able to stick to 50mph. He was able to undertake at that moment by pulling in and then out quickly.
Lane discipline is important, not just in roadworks, however the number of trucks that stick to the limiter knowing that they are unlikely to get nicked assuming APCO guidelines are followed is huge. Then two lanes minimum of trucks elephant raving is a disaster waiting to happen.
The recent programme on the M6 did truck drivers no favours and the sooner the idiots are taken out of the system the better for all.
Truckers should welcome anything, including the DCPC that means driving a truck is beyond the idiots reach. This will in time push wages up.
So anything good truckers can do to push the idiots out should be done. The fewer truckers there are and the more difficult it is to become a truck driver the higher wages will be.
It will also mean employers start to take their drivers seriously and agencies can’t take the ■■■■.
This won’t happen whilst the accepted norm is so low.
get real all you will see is more polish drivers who dont have experience come in as is happening now
the worse drivers in the world are the ones who try to get another driver out of a job
mind your own business on how or what other drivers do let the police or vosa catch them
if your going to report them then at least be brave enough to make sure your name and address is made public to the driver so he can thank you at least

Do not overtake on the left or move to a lane on your left to overtake. In congested conditions, where adjacent lanes of traffic are moving at similar speeds, traffic in left-hand lanes may sometimes be moving faster than traffic to the right. In these conditions you may keep up with the traffic in your lane even if this means passing traffic in the lane to your right. Do not weave in and out of lanes to overtake.
So in those 50 zones its fair game undertaking people sat in the second lane going under 50 as long as you stay in the inside lane, the po po wont like it though if you change lane to do the undertake.

The DCPC modules I did were designed by my employer and were specifically for the job I do, and were (mostly) worthwhile. We all knew each other, the craic was good, we were paid to attend and got a nice lunch. Are you suggesting I should have told him to stuff it, spat my dummy out and gone home in a big huff…just like you. Crawl back into your hole, Mr Troll…and leave the truck driving forums to the truck drivers

all anyone had to do was say no thanks i dont want to do it HAVE SOME BALL’S in other words
what do you expect any employers would of done had all the lads stuck together in this ? the wheels of industry need to keep on turning there is no way in the world they could of got rid of every driver and there is never any shortage of work out there, so the goverment would of had to have stopped it as there really wouldn’t of been any drivers left. its been the best chance all the drivers have had to finaly put drivers first and got a better living out of it
but anyway this issue has been delt with drivers like you went and got your card and what did you learn ?
how good were the videos you watched ? what skills did you come away with ? how has it made you a better driver or anyone else ?
the other reason i got out of the game is because of drivers like those who are posting in this thread wanting to report other drivers and try and lose them there jobs
that really does get my back up, i hardly come on this forum anymore the only thread i come to is the ukip dcpc thread as its the only thread worth a discussion, some of the threads started by so called drivers just show to me they have a lot to learn
help i am lost EVEN WITH A SAT NAV ■■?
what are the rules or hours on this or that ? EVEN WITH A DCPC
look at this wagon that has hit a bridge ?
and now its
drivers moaning about bad driving, as if there some sort of super driver that will never make a mistake or get anything wrong, and there attitude is, i will report anyone with my camera who doesn’t meet my super standards get real you nasty vicious mob of women
you couldnt even stand up over the dcpc and yet you want to stand up about another driver and lose him his job, while your filming them i wonder who will be filming you filming them ?

You really are the worst kind of idiot. If you’d bothered to read the post I made on this thread, you’d have realised that the only comment I made was critical of the people that report other drivers. And I don’t have a problem with you walking away, but I do have a problem with you pretending it was all for the good of the rest of us poor ignorant fools who aren’t as brave and noble as you. You may find this hard to believe, but you AREN’T the voice of the people and you DON’T speak for all of us. You are a narrow minded bigot who thinks that his opinion is the only one that matters.
Desypete…when you told your boss you where not doing the dcpc and leaving did they offer any incentive or was there some sort of whoops of joy.
No offense intended but you do come across as a bit of a cut your nose of to spite your face type who then proceeds to blame everyone else.
If youve got out of this driving game to retire and relax thats great, but your unilateral method of rebelling against the dcpc seems a tad pointless and too little to late.
