Eddies finest strikes again

Desypete…when you told your boss you where not doing the dcpc and leaving did they offer any incentive or was there some sort of whoops of joy.

No offense intended but you do come across as a bit of a cut your nose of to spite your face type who then proceeds to blame everyone else.

If youve got out of this driving game to retire and relax thats great, but your unilateral method of rebelling against the dcpc seems a tad pointless and too little to late.

Ive added him as a foe,im sick of reading his lectures and badmouthing , :unamused:

Lots of small build cars don’t have cruise control fitted as standard. There more likely to be young drivers or shopping trolleys, used occasionally by an inexperienced motorway driver. There the ones that can’t maintain a constant 50mph through busy roadworks, and they sit there absolutely bricking it when an HGV pulls alongside or up there backside.
I wouldn’t like to be that inexperienced person in that car. (Would you?)

I must admit to being one of those that likes to do as the sign says 50mph through roadworks. I sit with the cruise on making progress as stated in the driving standards, this I know of because I failed my first Class 1 test for not making satisfactory progress, (joke) so 50 mph it is through road works, respecting other road users as I go.

I hate middle lane hogs and let them know they are doing things wrong, without getting up close and personal. There is no reason what so ever to stay in the middle lane, and these lane hogs are holding the rest of this country up, and wearing the paint off my cruise control button as well as my thumb.
The HGV driver (read first post) in the fast lane with his feet up on the dash is more likely to be the knob that kills a friend of yours or a family member. Remember that, as some of you on here are making him out to be some sort of driving God.

Sense at last. Good to see there are still some real drivers around.

What we should have introduced but never will is a 60 mph minimum speed for cars providing conditions allow.

Trouble is that means the driver will have to make a decision on what the conditions are
